I vote for louder engine sounds. Real fighter sounds should be alot louder and for the battleships...well the battleships should have ultra BASS engines.
I do think that sound for freelancer could be upgraded a little more. Its easy to do, and just about everyone in the community could think of something.
Its an easy way to get people involved in the development process. Reguardless of skill level.

Yes, that's why there was already a thread asking for help in that area. I'll try to find it...

It speaks about human-performed sounds specifically, but nothing stops you from submitting other sounds as well. Just no copyright infringements, please.
I wonder why the thread is in Flood though, it was 100% serious.
I think the first priority should be fixing the holes disco made in the NPC voices, anyone here think they are a sound alike for an already existing NPC voice?

Definatley. Im sick of those NPCs going... "We're headed to ......."
Im sure you have a lovely voice. You could try to record the base names:P
There's a problem with the "go do it" mentality. Especially this task will be a hell lot of work. I wouldn't go into the task (not to mention my voice wouldn't help) and I definitely wouldn't say "go do it" to someone.
So, if there is someone willing and capable to do it, I'll be happy. If nobody volunteers for it, we just have to live with it.

I'd just like to point out that in space there is NO sound, so If it's realism we're looking for, cut all space sound effects except for the computer, impact sounds and asteroid collisions. If you're really feeling lazy, muffle everything so it sounds like you're underwater.
