Patrol Report: Recruit Officer Steven Le

Today was my first day on duty, and it was the most nerve-wracking day of my life. I head rumors the Chief was a bit...off, but this was ridiculous. My day started when I got a routine call about some Liberty Rogue Bloodhounds and I figured I could go receive my Patriot after dealing with them. Who knew Starfliers weren't built for combat. About 15 minutes into combat my wings had been completely ripped off and I began evasive maneuvers into a debris field [hit the thrusters and pray]. Another 20 minutes later Chief Matt Myers picked up my distress call and came to my aid. He quickly dealt with the Bloodhounds and escorted me to go receive my Patriot.
After I had equipped my Patriot the Chief led me to Illinois. During our journey there we encountered a pirate Onyx Wolf who had both LPI and LN in his hold. Naturally we had to save those LPI and...was there somebody else in the hold? Oh right, he had some other people or something, but as I was saying, we had to get those LPI out of there. The Chief opened fire, leaving a barrage of dazzling light. And then we saw an even brighter light when the pirate hit his cruise engines and got away.
-CLASSIFIED REPORT ON ILLINOIS OMITTED FROM PUBLIC COPY-
After leaving Illinois I headed back to Manhattan to sit down, have a nice cup of Sunbucks, type up this oh so exciting report, and of course, do the paperwork for the Patriot I was flying that exploded while I was in Illinois.

I had an encounter with a Cardamine smuggler at a California jumpgate today. I quickly pursued him and cornered him in Rochester Base. Several volunteers stood by in case he attempted an escape, however by the 1st hour most left, but fortunately the suspect began responding to negotiations. His family had been captured by Liberty Rogues and were being used as leverage to force the man into crime in an attempt to buy them back. I had assured him that there was plenty of legal trading that could be done as an alternative, and he agreed to come back with me to Manhattan 2 hours after the standoff had begun. He cooperated and allowed me to destroy his cargo of 630 units of Cardamine. He is now looking into working for USI.
Case resolved without violence (his ship was completely capable of destroying my patrol Patriot) he should be kept under watch under the off-chance he goes back into smuggling.
Well, quite a bit happened today.
As soon as I signed in for my shift, SWAT Officer Joe Smith screamed into my comm channel and requested back up for a few rogue's running around Planet Mojave and soon into a nearby ice field in Colorado. We managed to kill one of the rogues, while the other got away, and we had some help from a vigilante group known as NWA (Neighborhood Watch Association).
Almost immediately after that incident, SWAT Officer Aiden Maggard called for backup, having found a slave ship (which ended up not having any slaves, instead it had cardamine, lots of it). We managed to destroy the slave ship, again with some help from the NWA. There was quite a bit of mix up, as there were other individual's, who we weren't sure who's side they were on. Some of them turned out to be escort for the slave ship, and due to this, Officer Joe Smith was shot down. Luckily he managed to eject just in time. After destroying the slave ship (who refused to drop the cardamine I might add), a bounty hunter by the name Zecura was also discovered hauling cardamine, and Officer Aiden Maggard were in pursuit. There were some vigilante who followed, however they gave up half way through the chase, and they had every reason too: Zecura was one hell of a pilot. We didn't managed to shoot him down, instead Zecura crashed into Manhattan (deliberately). After that I continued my patrol.
Afew hours later, I got information on some [Cartel] boys running around in New York. I rendezvoused with [LN]Richard.Knight and we found them terrorizing the Pennsylvania Gate. We immediately engaged with the 2 [Cartel] Pilots. Sadly though, in the dogfight, I was shot down. Luckily, a trader who was running away from the scene, stopped by and rescue's my eject pod. I managed to replace my Liberator at Fort Bush.
After that, not much happened. I received some transmissions from the Navy planning on an invasion on Rhienland, and from what I heard, they did quite a bit of damage, but during that time I was just enforcing Embargo on Texas.
First off, the second Rogue got shot down by the NWA after we pulled back (crossed the company "do not cross this line" line in an asteroid field) Second off, It was in CALIFORNIA, not Colorado. And THE [S] ON OUR IFF FREQUENCIES STANDS FOR SERGEANT, NOT SWAT!!!

Today my supervising officer was Sergeant Joe Smith, and he led me into hell and back. I was expecting a routine patrol, but the sarge had other ideas. I accompanied him to one of the most terrifying sights in my life. He called them Nommies, but all I saw were squids tearing apart Navy. The most terrifying part was probably when he warned me to put on my tin hat. I knew things were going to get rough. I found that despite their fleshy appearance, my pew pew was more like tickle tickle. I then decided that perhaps I would serve a more useful purpose by acting as a decoy. Thinking quickly, I rammed one of the little jellies and quickly hit my thrusters and booked it.
Who would have thought squids had lasers. I had managed to grab the attention of one the things, it called itself "Gleamshire" or something girly like that. A large blast of energy clipped my wings, and I knew what I had to do. As a member of the LPI my duty was clear.
I ejected.
A battleship nearby was being stationed as a hospital, and they picked up my pod and I slept happy knowing I had made a difference for the people of Liberty.
Would anybody by any chance know if we killed those things? And should I be hearing voices after fighting them? The medics whispered something to each other and ran out when I mentioned it.

Right. We had one helluva situation today. Hostage situation. Deputy Chief Karl Agathon, Sergeant Aiden Maggard, and LSF Officer, and 3 or 4 Navy capital ships were present at the location. We had them surrounded. They had maybe, I dunno, 70 hostages. Over a third of them were either Liberty Navy or LPI Officers, as well as a few bounty hunters and rogues (don't know if that even classifies as a hostage). The negotiations were long, and in my opinion, both sides were unfair. They asked for all the capital ships to leave, the LN ships didn't leave. Instead, they said they would get out of weapons range, if half the prisoners were released. The terrorists refused. And then there were some freelancers, one of them had enough firepower to take on the hostage holder. The terrorists asked him to leave, but the freelancer didn't, and when we ordered him to leave, he didn't either. This freelancer kept on trying to provoke the terrorist into killing the hostages. In the end the LN Capital ships did leave to west point, but the freelancer stayed.
And then one of the terrorists attacked us, and, literally, all hell broke loose. In the middle of the dogfight, Deputy Chief Agathon's fighter got shot down, but I heard he got picked up later by someone else after the fight. Hope he's allright. I managed to rescue about 5 of the hostages. Since there was a sirius-wide meteor shower incoming, I decided to evacuate those hostages to Manhattan, and landed myself there, just in time.

Patrol Report
Well, it looks as though my first day on the beat was a rather hectic one. After undocking from Manhattan in my shiny new Patriot, I joined Officer Tony Jefferson on patrol. We made a quick jaunt about the New York system, and Tony pointed out to me the big-region-of-empty-space-which-clearly-does-not-contain-anything-even-remotely-secret,-and-should-be-avoided-at-all-costs-because-it-is-dead-boring. We then encountered not one, but TWO Nomads. Both escaoed into the big-region-of-empty-space-which-clearly-does-not-contain-anything-even-remotely-secret,-and-should-be-avoided-at-all-costs-because-it-is-dead-boring, though I managed to get a scan of one of them as it passed by. The scan is attached.
Then, as we reached the California jumpgate, we encountered a hacker, one Leo Montana. He was flying a Broadsword class Hacker HF. We engaged the Hacker, and I was shot down. Fortunately, Tony managed to retrieve my escape pod, and I quickly hopped back into a new Patriot when he managed to finish off the Hacker.
Our patrol through the California, Ontario, and Alberta systems was uneventful. On our return to New York, though, we encountered a Rogue Pirate Transport. Fortunately, our intimidating presence was sufficient to scare off the Rogue.

Recruit Officer Steven Le here, we have a situation out here. The Cartel...they, they have a damned army out here. I'm in my escape pod and safely out of range of the fight, but I can hear the explosions from here...
We had LSF and Navy support, but it's mostly our boys out here, and we're just not equipped for this kind of fight. I'll upload the guncam images now.
This damned pod's running out of power fast, I'm going to disconnect the comm systems to save power for life support. I hope I get picked up soon, this thing's cramped..
