Magnus can hear the low voices of the other Patrons as he enters the bar. Looking around, he nods respectfully to any who notice him looking, as he heads over to a corner seat, settling down with a sigh. Looking mournful, he gently un clenchs one of his fists, revieling a small tag which simply read "Ghost", the last remnants of his beloved fighter after his last sortie.
Letting his head sink down till it hits the table, he begins mumbling obceenities about the jellies, and certain keeper's.
Finally, be pulls his head up, resting back in his chair, before pulling out a collapsed data tablet, unfolding it ot reviel the results, from the micro lab he set up in his station side quaters, of the dyson sphere and station he had visited resently, mumbling facts and figures under his breath, completely oblivious to the world around him, and any who had noticed his strange proformance.
The familly is always looking to grow, PM me for details and help us corrupt gallia one step at a time
Christopher entered the room, He glared at every one around the room scoping all there faces, he didn't most of the faces but that's how it often was, He walked over to a vacant table and ordered a drink, as he drunk he look a little bit edgy checking out every single noise that any one made but that's how he normally was always alert and always ready, he wore a strange hooded robe that he used to hid his face, He watched and waited for some one to talk to
Kaira stopped in the bar. He had his ship docked and was undergoing repairs. He had just delivered his load of specimens to the Toledo scientists. When he ordered his drink, he turned to a hooded fellow that he thought looked like a fool. He hoped he didn't fly with it on. "Hey, there." Kaira said nonchalantly.
"Hey there" a voice cried out disrupting him from a flash back from simpler times. "Greetings" Christopher said as he gave a single nod but still most of his face hidden within the shadows of the hood. Christopher studied his face he was Kusarian, as the bar tender placed a drink in front of the man he calmly said "Rough day i guess."
It had been a while since Jackie had visited the bar on Toledo, her recent assignments having taken her as far as the Taus, and beyond, into the new, still not fully charted space of this new house. It was good to be back home again, as much as she could call anywhere home. She paused at the door, running her hand through her hair.
As she entered, the contrast with the busy world outside hit her. Just beyond these walls, people were dying on a daily basis, while, in here, one might even think there was no war, or alien threat. Glancing over the patrons, she noted the multitude of new faces, the gaps where those she remembered were missing, either out on patrol, or worse.
As she made her way towards the bar, she was sure she heard a familiar voice, but, looking around, could neither determine it's source, nor put a face or name to it. Arriving at the bar, she leaned across and made her usual order in the accustomed low tone. Collecting the glass and bottle, she glanced around the room before heading towards a seat halfway along one of the walls.
David Freisener walked into the bar for pretty much the first time. He was'nt a drinker. Too old and did'nt have time to cultivate the habit, He thought wryly to himself.
He scanned the faces around the dimly lit room, but could recognize no one. He then moved up to the bartender and said, Get me some Soda.
Now was not the time to cultivate the habit. He was'nt going to spoil the little time he had for rest either.
Nestled with his drink, he sank deep into his own thoughts...
Christopher walks into and scans te room for any body he knew, sitting in one of the seats was David Freisener a new friend so he walked over and said "Hey Freisener so hows your mate liking being part of the order?." David looked back at him surprised expression on his face
Freisener nodded and gestured to christopher dangen, a powerful admiral within the order to have a seat with him.
"Hes doing just fine, he hit the bar first thing after the training. Looks like hes an experienced campaigner with booze"
He then laughs.
"Well Chris, the past hurts you sometimes, but it is sometime better to learn from it . As a philosopher once said, You cant fix the past and you cant adjust the future, what you can do is work for the present"
As Christopher sat down his Commander badge on the top left of his chest reflected onto the table
"Thanks for the seat."
Christopher laughed after what Freisener said about the newest recruit "Well better keep a eye on him then."
"The past is good for building peoples character as its what we have done that makes us what we are and to frankly honest I would have to disagree with what that philosopher said as its what we choose to do determines our future."
"So hows your stay in the order so far my friend?"
"How can I put it Chris, my stay has been good with the order. After Alaska, working with the order gives me a sense of purpose and motivation to fight. Unlike most people however, I did'nt join the order on purpose, at least not initially"
A waiter then shows up
"What would you want sirs?"
"nothing for me, thanks"
Christopher gave his order and then David decided to raise a topic.
"It annoys me that Humanity fights amongst themselves when theres a very real alien threat intent on wiping us all out and biding it's time. Do you think we should now let the existence of the nomads be known publically? If all the reports are true, the nomads are initiating massive buildups and the day cannot be far"
