Well not all ads are annoying.

Just like google ads. They text ads.. its discreet and .. i'm not even sure most ads b.ocker can actually block it. It think it's worth a try.

Somehow I somewhat doubt Igiss will put ads to improve the forum as I dont think he would see it as much as an improvement. Especially when we have shown here that many member of the community are willing to contribute to to improve the reliability of the forums and keep it ad free.

The whole point of this thread is to gather information if there are enough people willing to give money on a regular basis to keep this forum ad free and make it more reliable. If you are wondering if people would like ads here feel free to start a topic about that, that is titled so as to alert people that that is the topic of conversation. I am still inclined to think that the person who owns this space does not want to do that, but this is merely supposition. If you would like to ask him you can contact him via this page.

In response to your argument about server upgrades, these are not consistently needed, unlike money for server space. They are planning some new upgrades to help server performance and I encourage people to support this. That does not mean both are not possible.

I'm fine either way, if a Pay Pal is opened and players asked to donate, I'll donate, however I don't mind ads, since there is tons of open space in everyone's favorite Forum style: Blue Solution. Either or is fine with me.
