Concerning the whole PvP thing

some people only see what they want to see I suppose. Shame really...as I said for the most part I've had a great time here and no..I dont just come here to pvp ALL the time.

Well it depends on who you are calling crybabies...People like Caylith and Romer are not crybabies they actually do have lives and their recreational time was ruined by PVP junkies...

Did I cry when the phantoms attacked me 2 to 1 without so much as a howdy-do? Only the phantoms were RPing and other pvp players weren't?

What gives you the right to call other people here cry babies when the issues that caused them to leave have been here longer than you.
If you must know they left because of a combinations of issues:

1) Our RP server has been swamped with idiots who are only here for pvp
2) These people have slagged them and called them names, this isnt the first time it has happened it happned quite a lot to them. Thats not drama mate thats harrassment.


You have been here the best part of a week and already you are bad mouthing 2 of our most respected players, good first impression mate. Call anyone else here a cry baby without a good reason and you will have to deal with more than one pissed off community member. Got it?

It's ridiculous, what is going on here.

People, especially Romer and Caylith, don't just leave because they are attacked with unfair odds. People are CONSTANTLY attacked with uneven odds. SF, RM, hell AW fought a war that was basically 3v1 in terms of member counts. The reason it didn't bother us, was because there wasn't any INSULTING and disrespect expect from two people. Whats happening right now, is the large increase of pvper's, with no respect to RP, or anyone other than themselves on the server.

Caylith was insulted and attacked out-of-RP numerous times in one week. Heck, even myself I was insulted and attacked out of RP multiple times the week before pvp ban. Heck, I was attacked, with my Zoner-tagged ship that had an AW tag, by a Corsair TALARCA. Out-of-RP ship on the Corsair, and Corsair attacking both an NPC and player faction that was neutral to it. No warnings or anything. Hell I was afk for the first 2 minutes while he drained 3/4 my shield off. Then was insulted, called a p*ssy, and coward when I took off due to my shield being down, having no armor upgrades, and my loadout consisting of a whole 5 MKII Order BS turrets dishing out only 5,000 damage per second, instead of the Talarca's two battlerazors giving out 30,000 a second.

That is the kind of attitude and play style thats ticking off the old and honest players. The pvp whores don't care about honor, dignity, or fair play in the least. Least of all respect to other players, whom they insult at constant.

Hell, we get insulted when we WIN for god's sake. No matter whats done, we get flamed by pvp whores who have been here 3 weeks and are flying around uber-bombers, luxury liners (uber-cruiser), and battleships.

Problems;

1. Pvp whores not RPing AT ALL
2. Insults/lack of respect to others
3. Random non-RP attacks
4. Constant taunts
5. Use of only the uber ships, disregarding RP, by pvp whores
6. Players acting as if they OWN, not control, OWN a system, even when they have the tag of a faction HOSTILE to the NPC faction controlling that system (Corsairs ordering Phantom out of Alpha)
7. Breakings of rules by new players too lazy to read the server rules, let alone care they broke them.


Heck, people with the highest in-game rank on server, no matter their distance from NY, are being begged and harrassed for money by noobs on the server for 5 minutes. When told no, or ignored, they just keep demanding it. To the point I get close to sending pics to an admin to ban them for harrassment.

The problems are numerous, the solution is either for the pvp whores to straighten up and follow the rules, both pvp AND RP rules, or bans start. I'm about to agree with whoever said to move all ships and equipment over level 8 be moved to guard bases. Thats the only way to lower the amount of people using out-of-RP ships and equipment without a care about what happens to the rest of the server.

It seems to me that for the most part it's the factions that cause this.

Phantoms are flying rheindland bombers, attack pirate friendly freelancers with 2 to 1 odds, how is that RP?

BSG are flying cruisers from blood dragons.


If someone is breaking server rules, then take a screenie and report them, but if you feel you are being griefed and you respond by tearing down the whole community, then you are just being a crybaby.

Wobbly, I know that you are new, but they are in no way being "crybabies" or what ever term you would like to use to describe them. This is an RP server. Thus, RP rules MUST be observed. Screenshots cannot always be taken, and in most cases, they ARE taken.

And regarding your statement about Factions, I'd consider revoking that. Most of the time, it is the freelancers that people have problems with. Faction aligned members usually DO RP.

Phantoms are terrorists, NOT pirates.

If I were you, I'd go though the community more and find out more about everything that has been going on before I post down my opinions.

BSG flying those ships has caused controversy, BUT they are some of the best RPers here.

What we annoyed by is Random people coming up to us and picking a fight. Those people belong in a PvP server, NOT this one, and RP server.

Finally, Caylith and the ones who left DID not tear down this community. It is the people who came to this community with the intention of doing everything contrary to the ideals of this community. It is people who came here and decided to go around cursing others out and flame on the forums for no reason.

No, it was a freelancer tagged corsair dreadnaught. I've never had anything but civilian and freelancer tagged characters.



And no one has explained why phantoms should be attacking freelancers and flying rheinland bombers. Sound like PvP whores to me.
