' Wrote:Freelancer are guys who fly around and do nothing. Terrorist are people who go out and destroy WITH RP involved.
That isn't true at all, freelancers are players who don't join clans or factions, who put their own interests above those of any specific group
Terrorists are sometimes people who use rp to justify being pvp whores.
So let me ask you this, if the so called pvp whores all got togather, called themselves reavers, and acted the exact same way while justifying it with some rp, would that make everyone happy?

Why don't you shut me up by answering a question, if the so called pvp whores banded togather in a faction called "reavers" and made a few IC posts to justify their attacks, would that solve the whole problem?
Wobbly, when your understanding of how the ID/Tag situation works within the roleplay parameters, perhaps
you might be in a position to actually understand what people are saying to you.
All you have done here so far, is say its ok for you to have a Corsair ship because you have Freelancer ID.
Thats PvP whoring, and a cop out to any form of roleplay. What is your Freelancer ? I have no idea.
Its just a ship with no story, and the excuse is your ID. Get real ...
The Phantoms have Xeno terrorist Tags because we were asked to. Our story is well documented elsewhere if
you could be bothered to read it. Our ID says Phantom, but that was put in game just for us, and in hindsight
was a mistake which in the future will be corrected.
If you can't be arsed to go sort your own Tag out, and are are using us as an excuse, there is really no point
in explaining anything else to you. And as for roleplay, go look it up. Its not what you are doing.

My 2cents worth... I enjoyed dodging the pirates... I was primarily a trader, and was constantly checking for character locations to see if I could make certain runs or not.... It made the game more fun and challenging.... Now I also never had a situation where another player had me pinned down... If that were the case I would hope he would respect my wishes to be left alone long enough to get out of his area/system... The phantoms never did bother me, as I avoided them... easy enough to write down the names of pirates and avoid them... and again, I never had a situation where a pirate hunted me down... I did, however, have intentions of becoming an anti-pirate to escort frieghters through pirate terratory...
Bottomline, I enjoyed it, it is only a game, but I personally would preferr PVP on....

Let's take it like this:
Say we are friends, good friends. But would I give you the keys to my Lamborghini Murcielago? You'd have to be a damn good friend to me.
Same goes for the Freelancers and whatever other faction. Simple. You don't trust a freelancer enough.

I understand it perfectly, your RP is valid and everyone else's isn't unless it agrees with you.
That's pretty selfish of you.
I had a freelancer ID because I was a freelancer, I had a corsair ship because I was friendly with corsairs and bought one, it makes a lot more sense than phantom flying rhiendland bombers.
What's the phantom rp? It's an excuse to have the uber ships and be pvp whores, as near as I can tell.
And answer my question, if nothing changed with the pvp whores except a few rp posts and a tag explaining they were "reavers", would that make it OK?

That's very poorly thought out.
It's more like would you sell me a Lamborghini if you were a Lamborghini dealer.
Unless you are going to give me 300 million worth of game $

But mate, you had a POLICE TAG why is it so hard for you to comprehend?
Why not have a Corsairs tag and be friendly enough.
No, 'a few rp posts and a tag explaining they were "reavers"' would not justify it, but 'a lot of good rp posts and a tag explaining they were "reavers" and RPing ingame' might just do the job.

You're wrong, because as a Lamborgini dealer I'd HAVE to sell you the thing for the money. More like I'm US Army and you have Al Kaeda written on your forehead and you want me to sell you a nuclear submarine.
As for the game money, I have about 1,300,000,000 on my trader, most of that made RPing, a concept which you will never be able to grasp by just wobbling.

Wobbly, stop before it's too late. You accuse one of the longest lasting community members and one of the best RPers around that? Of what? Not knowing what is roleplay?
Freelancer ID was added to give a chance for some less-faction-limited roleplaying. Instead, we just got abuse. Yes, Phantoms were terrorists, but they had appropriate ID, had appropriate reputation, and they DID roleplay, maybe with a few unfortunate exceptions. I do believe there is a place for terrorists on the server, cause playing a terrorist who has actual terrorist rep (hostile to all lawfuls, and many unlawfuls) is not an easy thing to do.
PvP, basically, is going to be allowed on the basis of what ID you have. No more free for all attacks. Unlawfuls vs lawfuls. Kusari vs Bretonia. Terrorists against everyone. I'm not saying that you need to have 100% perfect lawful or unlawful rep. Of course, rep with some NPC factions might change. But on the whole reputations must be what they are meant to be: if you are a pirate, or terrorist, and fly safely through military convoys, then something is wrong. If you are Rheinland Military member and green with Red Hessians, this is also hard to tolerate.
