Subject: Plutonium trader, designation "Archie"
Today I proceeded to New Tokyo after hearing reports of pirate activity, but instead of finding pirates, we found a Plutonium smuggler on his way to LD-14. The KSP pilot stopped the smuggler until I could get there to take over the situation. When I finally arrived, the smuggler was still there, and I told the KSP Pilot that he may proceed with any matters he needed to attend to. After a few minutes of the smuggler's stalling, seeing a BMM Atlas going past me, and the smuggler trying to pay me instead of dropping his cargo, he finally dropped his cargo and left Kusari.
On my patrol, in my Wyrm, around New Tokyo, I found a Zoner carrier, callsign Deadlights. I was about to lecture him about the Legal Codex, and order him to leave Kusari space. But, it happened that the mentionated carrier was under attack of the QCP and the GC. I apologize for ignoring the Kusari Legal Codex, about the zoner warship, but the QCP are a plague that has to be terminated. Before to reaching the QCP, I had to deal with the GC who came to kill me. Lucky me, my Wyrm is too fast to get shot by missiles, and I forced the GC to retreat. After that, one of the QCP went down, while I was fighting the other QCP, the Zoner carrier managed to escape, and finnaly the last QCP fleed.
I parked the wyrm in planet New Tokyo, and pick up my Chimaera, to patrol the Taus. Where I found a independent trader carrying Engine components from Kusari. As it seemed a rookie, I told him about the Legal Codex, and he humbly complied to my orders of selling the cargo in the nearest Kusari station.

Our forces, composed of 4 KNF and 2 Imperial Guard Chimaera, intercepted a Bretonia Armed Forces patrol near Planet Waterford and engaged combat.
The Imperial Guards presence was very welcome within our ranks and seems to have somehow inspired our warriors to focus their Chi beyond usual levels.
The results are very promising as we downed 2 enemy targets before they retreated to the nearby battleship. No losses.
I saw great potential in one of our recruits and I granted Kasumi-san to join us on the front despite his rank, taking every responsibility myself.
He performed well and impressed both Sensei Kitao and me.
Senzo here. Today I received word that a corsair cruiser was in Kusari space.
I launched from New Tokyo, only to find a Junker Frigate in orbit. I asked it repeatetly to lave. it didn`t.
I was joined by the destroyer Yureigohoshi at this time.
I don`t know what`s wrong with the computer registration of the kill. it was my snac that delivered the final blow. alas, the Junker was out of our hair.
but then, some Chrysantemums showed up, as well as a Dragon gunboat.
we turned to the Grysantemums and the dragon gunboat.
one of the Grysantemums was vaporised by the destroyer`s battlerazor.
the dragon gunboat ( I do not have anguncam image of him) was severly damaged and fled.
the other GC ship fled as well.
Then the corsair cruiser I initially searched for came flying past. we ordered it to leave Kusari space. after spouting some strange gibberish, it did so.
Ensign Tanaka, reporting on my first patrols. After witnessing officer Senzo and his partner dispatch of a pirate threat in New Tokyo, I was en route to the Tau systems when I was alerted to the presence of known crimminal, Midnight_Express. As per KNF Alpha action report #547, this pilot is wanted for Cardamine traffic, resisting arrest and firing with deadly force upon Naval Forces vessels.
A quick scan revealed that the ship was again full of Cardamine, as such I informed him that he was in violation of Kusari law, and demanded that he leave Kusari immediately. Unfortunately, his lead was too large, and he lengthened it by firing upon and disabling all the trade lanes that he passed through. Nonetheless, I pursued him through Kusari until he exited our space via the Kepler system, and I am happy to say that my chase prevented him from landing in our space, if that was his intention. There will be no drugs pushed upon our children today.
I did a brief patrol around Leeds yesterday. One of our new shois was there, and I wanted to show him how to act at the front of war. But, our patrol was interrupted by the BAF and the QCP. We need to get our Shois into the training grounds, and teach them the basic skills to fight against the Bretonians.
I did not do much against them neither, as I got shot by a supernova and lost my ship.
I'm at the Nagasaki awaiting for a new Chimaera.
Chusa Out.
Another patrol finished with several incidences to report.
Standing guard at the Tau-29 to Kyushu jump gate a transport hauling nearly 5,000 slaves dropped out of the trade lane. The transport clearly immediately spotted me and made a run for it. Being unequipped as I was with a cruise disruptor I pursued them, ordering them to halt. The transport was broadcasting the ID "SuperBeast" and I've include a scan of their vessel. Unfortunately they managed to call on the assistance of a wing of Outcast fighters which managed to disrupt my engines and I had to break off the pursuit. Looks like I may need to reconsider my equipment loadout.
The next incident involved a Blood Dragon gunboat with the ID of Shiruba-Fokkusu that was spotted hanging around the trade lane between Planet Kyushu and the New Tokyo Jump Gate. At the time I was on patrol with fellow Shōi; Takahashi. Feeling that we would be unable to bring down the gunboat alone we called on the assistance of a State Police agent, GHOSTreaper, and a pilot from the AFA, one Moto's Seeder, who were also in the area. The battle lasted for a fair amount of time however we did destroy the gunboat. Gun-cam shots have been included.
The final incident involved a dispute between a member of the AFA and a couple traders from Universal Shipping and Deep Space Engineering with the foreign traders making various allegations of piracy against the AFA. I did not witness any piracy and the AFA pilot assured me these were just lies. I instructed the foreign traders to move along to avoid any further conflict. This happened in New Tokyo.

Konnichiwa Honorable Warriors.
Mostly quiet today, however during a patrol through Tau-31 a Prison Liner was spotted and scanned. The name of the vessel was Prison_Liner_XD4. They were carrying about 1,500 prisoners and 230 units of Cardamine. They were hailed and immediately halted but claimed the prisoners had smuggled the Cardamine on board. The captain agreed to jettison the Cardamine and have it destroyed, which he did himself. Additional scans did not reveal any Cardamine in the liner or in the surrounding space. The liner was allowed to continue on its way.
The next incident involved a Hachiman class Blood Dragon Gunboat in New Tokyo. The name of the vessel was Haze. The Hogosha Yamakashi Katsyuga flying a VHF had encountered and engaged the gunboat but was clearly unable to bring down the gunboat alone. We engaged the gunboat together but even so the fight was too evenly matched and after several minutes it was clear that neither side was going to gain the upper hand. The Blood Dragon agreed to leave the system immediately and he was escorted out after a cease fire was called.
An Outcast gunship, Barbossa, was briefly spotted leaving the New Tokyo system towards Shikoku. His cargo hold was empty and I did not pursue.

BEGINNING OF REPORT
Had a run in with a squadron of Golden Chrysanthemums in New Tokyo today. While traveling on the Trade Lane from the Kyushu jump gate to Shinjuku Station scanners briefly detected two Kiretsu GC vessels. I cruised back along the trade lane and got close enough to do a system scan on the two ships, which turned out to consist of a VHF and Borderworlds Gunship. The Gunship was carrying 3 Kusari State Police as well as a load of Cardi.
They did not seem to be posing an immediate threat, and not having any backup with me, I chose not to engage and instead stationed myself a short distance away, monitoring their activity and alerting any traders in the area. Predictably, they spewed their lies to anyone who would listen, however they did not show any hostility to the nearby vessels and claimed they were conducting a "silent protest". My understanding was that if you're conducting a silent protest you keep your mouth shut. Apparently they hold a different view.
I was eventually joined by the KNF warrior Kiith as well as a Corsair who was in the area, a Cristobal Cortez, who agreed to assist should the need arise. Both of pilots were flying VHFs. However shortly afterwards two additional Gold Chrysanthemums arrived in VHFs, though they continued to hold their position.
We negotiated the release of the KNF pilots being held aboard the Gunboat and they were transfered to Kiith without problems. They continued to hold their position and refused to leave the system.
The standoff continued for quite some time and ultimately I had to leave the scene due to other issues that needed to be dealt with. I do not know the ultimate outcome of the situation.
Aside from the usual traders attempting to sneak past the trade embargo to Bretonia there were a couple significant events.
The first was a Blood Dragon bomber in the Tau 29 system. I arrived on the scene shortly after a firefight hand begun between the BD bomber and a Gaian bomber that had been in the area. The Gaian seemed to have the situation under control so I monitored it from a short distance. The Gaian did finally succeed in destroying the BD, though his ship was heavily damaged. I made sure that he reached a nearby base safely before continuing my patrol
I later met up with a warrior from the KNF-K Bomber Wing; Daii Hajime Hiroito piloting the Sakabatou. After conducting a few joint operations and monitoring some suspicious traders I conducted another patrol through the Tau 29 system.
It was mostly quiet and I decided to take the long way back to Kyushu and map out some of the Jump Holes used by smugglers these days. Entering the Tau 23 systems scanners detected a possible hostile vessel cruising hard towards the Kyushu JH. Not responding to my hails I switched on my cruise engines and attempted to cut him off before he reached the JH, but he had too much of a head start and had already made the jump before I was in scanner range. However I did manage to pickup his IFF, which was broadcasting "Junker" loud and clear.
I sent out an alert to Hiroito-san who had previously been in Kyushu, unfortunately he was otherwise occupied at the time. Making the jump to Kyushu it seemed that he'd had some trouble restarting his cruise engines and I was almost on top of him. He quickly jumped into the trade lanes and I followed hard on his heels. As he dropped out of the trade lane, and I right behind him, he was finally in full scanner range and the reasons for his silent run became obvious; a cargo hold full of premium cardi.
Not yet ready to give up he attempted to re-enter the trade lane, fortunately I was able to deactivate it before he was pulled in. At this point he had ignored numerous hails and orders to stop and had traveled half way across Kyushu on a direct course for New Tokyo. I decided that it was time for a slightly more firm message and opened fire. He immediately began dropping mines and returning fire with more ferocity than expected.
I'd failed to reload my Nuclear mines after my previous engagement and did not have the firepower to do more than generally dent his hull before my shield batteries were completely expended. Fortunately Hiroito-san returned to the system at this point and I immediately requested assistance. Within a few short minutes he was on the scene with his bomber and we made quick work of the smuggler.
Seeing that his end was near the smuggler deactivated his weapons and called a cease fire, agreeing to have the cardi destroyed and pay a fine for the damages caused and attempted murder of KNF warriors. The destruction of cargo and transfer went smoothly and he was permitted to limp onward. I docked at planet Kyushu for repairs and to finally reload those nuclear mines.
I've been following your job the last couple of days. I have to say it, well done Kojiro-san. You did it very well against that junker, even when it had gunboat firepower.
Also, well done in New Tokyo with the Kiretsu. A shame we didn't meet eachother there, my Wyrm fell in combat against them. But, once again, you did it well.
You'll get used to the Legal Codex soon, don't worry about minor details, use your instincts, which seem to be good far now.
Just a note Shoi Kojiro, my rank is Chusa, no Daii.
Ensign Tanaka reporting in. Upon beginning my regularly scheduled patrol, I was alerted to a hostile Bretonian presence engaging officer Sasaki Kojiro in the Tau-29 system. I immediately set a course to join, but arrived only after the cowardly Bretonian had driven back Sasaki-san; This Bretonian ship, HMS-Waterwitch, was revealed to be Gunboat-class, and appeared to be operating alone.
I engaged the enemy, demanding they leave the system immediately; though clearly overpowered in my Chimaera, I notified the enemy that I was requesting reinforcements. Upon realizing that I was merely the first of many Samurai who would arrive to spill their blood, the Bretonians wisely retreated; leaving our space.
I am please to have been part of driving away the enemy, but look forward to facing them soon in true battle without cowardly escapes.
Tanaka Out.
