Ageira isn't really all-powerful. I just can't imagine them taking over sirius... Or abusing their power. I can't see how they would have so much power in the first place - the only thing they could do is sell them for a really high price, in which case the designs would get stolen and they would... die...
My interpretation regarding Rheinland is that Daumann Heavy Construction build the tradelanes and jumpagtes within Rheinland using Ageira technology and parts.
And Rheinland itself is supposed to be a democratic state with a royal society which loves military power and traditions.
And these Ageira players who think they can demand cargo within Rheinland: You will be treated like pirates.
The last smart one received some 'correctional measure' regarding arguing with the military and ignoring orders. :D

Anyways.
I figured that Ageira corporation is a bit too powerful in Discovery. Why? They built the entire trade lane system in all of Sirius, except for Gallia. Its been RP'd a thousand times that they could track ships through the lanes. Wouldn't that mean that the Liberty Navy gets a nice warning when Ageira starts to see a bunch of green (Rheindland) blips heading their way? Couldn't they sell their "services" to other Houses?
This all comes from using the same type of Jump gates/Trade lanes throughout Sirius, which I know has been discussed in another topic here.
Just a thought.
The tracking thing has existed since vanilla and, I'm guessing, IC must also have the information as they use it for insurance related information. So, I suppose they could track some Rheinland ships heading in, but wouldn't that be economically really bad?
As an alternative, Rheinland could always purchase the opposite information from the Lane Hackers. They already sell it to the Outcasts and Rheinland isn't near their territory - seems like a win for them to me.

I need to get a rheinland character... that seems absurd. Ageria demanding cargo in Rheinland?
Who says Ageira is taking sides in the war? The Rheinland government buys tradelanes from them as well as Liberty.
Keep in mind that enormous multinational companies not only survive the defeat of their parent nation, but often benefit from it by taking contracts to aid in the rebuilding. Profiteering usually takes precedence over patriotism.
Well, considering that Ageira is the Liberty Military's prime contractor...it would most likely be them. And I don't think they want to see Liberty lose the war either, as they would likely be treated as enemies of Rheinland just like the Navy itself.
I think the answer lies into what we want to make it. There are a lot of possible "realities/outcome" to this "problem" and it's only up to "us" to decide how things will happen (or are happening). since all of them are approximately equally possible.
What you guys are doing is like trying to predict what is going to happen in a science-fiction movie with common sense. You can manage to make a good guess but, in truth, it could have been anything the author decided it would be.
They are spies, double agents, we are not giving them more guns...
Yea I see where the power can be such a undertone their corps are nudging at the leaders of the nations in sayin hey...yea thats right we want this and you are going to give it too us. OR all your little secrets go out the door with some smelly outcast to sell for high profits to your enemies.
Didn't the IC already claim that they could track ships through the gates? Ageira aren't as powerful as that, if they were then they'd have at least one player faction that's currently active.
