Well, looking at things, it'd be nice to do something nice for the new players, 'eh? Show them what the server is really about. Give them a good taste of RP. You know, what we normally do but not everyone does?
Well, what if we went and had weekly events in Penn? I was thinking like the Mk 1 events of old. Mainly because, well, they're not as serious as the real weekly PvP events. Frankly, I don't think those do our server justice, and most new players only see those events and not the other Roleplaying ones.
Frankly, I would like to put Roleplaying in new player's heads first. As we all know, most of them stay in Penn and have quite rocky starts. I think there is more we can do than shoving some money in their face and asking them to read the server rules. We can show them what extraordinary RP is and show them that it can be extremely fun to be engaged in it. Heck, if I were a new player and saw all these people going through an event like that and then I looked at the forum to see a whole bunch of people laughing about how fun it was to fly in awful ships and argue semantics (with or without weapons fire!), I would definitely want to figure out how to get in.
So, basically, who would be up for holding weekly Mk 1 Fighter events in Pennsylvania? Thinking about it, there are a plethora of things that could be done. I, personally, think it would be great for the newbies...

Heh, throw out something to try and stop what people are complaining about, and they just complain more. Somehow, I don't think we come here to get Hogosha Nomships, or be a part of 5 Caps fighting a lone bomber. Somehow, I think we come here for what I suggested, and if we don't, well, I guess I'm completely delusional.

Liberty is as Liberty does. I like to think that there's some chance of salvaging Penn at least, though. If you get anything going on, I'll go knock up a Cryer starblazer or something to play around. Should be fun.
I could definitely go for it. Provided it's not at some retarded time frame.
From what I've gathered in all my time here, events are always held at the busiest server time, when everyone struggles to get a slot.
If we're going to do it, put it around.. I don't know.. 16:00 GMT.

I think if this is gonna work, then it has to be more about RP than PvP. So no "X faction vs Y faction" instead we should depict the common factions in Liberty carrying out their usual tasks. Police patroling and scanning transports, Rogues/Hackers sitting at lanes disrupting traffic, stuff like that. Everyone should fly a mk 1 ship, so Bloodhounds, Patriots, Starlifer/tracker, Rhinos.
The LR already have several active Bloodhounds and at least one Wolfhound that could be used for these events.
