Just because you fail at flying one doesn't mean they're pointles or suck at everything. I happen to know multiple accomplished LF pilots, get behind thee, fool.

Following your sig here saying you are 100% right or even more.
I personally suck with Light fighters, but I have seen some really good pilots doing incredible things with a light fighter. No offense Hawkwings, I can understand your frustration and sympathize since the Light Fighter is the most skill-dependent vessel class in the game. So yes, if you don't have enough skill, you will not contribute much to a battle and you will probably make a fatal mistake and die.
The point of Light-Fighters is to annoy the enemy, throw them off balance or support as a shield-busting unit to your allies. A Light-Fighter is not one you should go solo with up against people, that will take ages to kill them, and if you make one mistake you will die. A Light-Fighter has and will most likely always be a really good fighter/bomber-support unit. Treat it as such.
Now this thread isn't about Light-Fighters is about the GC bomber. My post towards you Nighthawk, the Falcata statement held a very sarcastic tone, but it originated from missunderstanding your post looking like you tried abusing your power (whatever that power may be). For that I apologize.
Moving on... my argument as to why the GC bomber should not get a extra CD slot along with a huge increase in armor and firepower versus slower ship has been stated, if anyone disagrees please post counter-arguments to support your side.
My arguments in conclusion:
- Kusari ships follow the line of "fast, agile vessels".
- GC Bomber infocard states it sacrifices some agility for firepower.
- The GC Bomber can use its agility to its advantage if used correctly (personal experience).
Alright, fine, I don't live next door to the server and I don't have 3 hours to PvP people, as apparently great pilots do. And I guess they're a decent TCD platform as well.
But yes, enough whining from me, let's get back on topic. I suppose the issue here is the definition of the word "some" and what exactly the GC are using their bombers for.
P.S. Point me to some of these amazing LF pilots please. I've heard they exist but have never ever been given a name.

You aren't whining mate. I understand your frustration, just suggesting to put this light-fighter topic in another thread/place.
Yes I do agree with you that the biggest issue is gonna be about the definition of: "Some".
However, I do believe any reasonable person would agree that "some" is not equal to a Light Bomber changing to a Superbomber. This is why I believe my argument on this issue is stronger than the counter.
A very talented Light Fighter pilot (and Very Heavy Fighter for that matter) I used to know was named: Maranzo
A old friend of mine who used to run a GC Faction called The Bushido. To me, those were the days, still miss your presence Master. Oh sorry now we are going off-track again. So anyways yeah...

Not if you mount four Magmahammers on a Liberator like me. I kill Gunboats in my Libby:P
Quote:I find they work best in groups... but everyone knows this.
Huh... no one told me that. I guess I should apologise to those four bombers I beat the snot out of...
Seriously you people should be greatful to have a light bomber. I fought a Barghest for the first time the other day, he used all his mines up trying to kill me, then it was over. I spent the next half hour toying with him. I used about 5 bots and had less than 1000c repair bill at the end of it. Falcatas are at least slightly challenging if piloted well. I'd assume other Light bombers like the Orchid are the same.
Dab, i'd wish you'd met Chie Mori. Of course, for this i have to get Chie away from her WoW...
Once you met her Orchid, you'd wonder if she's flying the same Orchid as you fly.
Else than that. Personal opinion about the Orchid: It's ok.
Towards the GC LF idea: We have a fast (V)HF.
In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.
Quote:Hm, with agility of knf vhf,gb and even destroyer, you think that super heavy bomber can survive more as 1 minute?
Kusari Ships are small and agile. Surprisingly, the unlawful ships are big and fat.
No wonder we are losing...
EDIT: well the Blood Dragons have small ships. The GC are rather large.
Blood Dragon ships own, except the cruiser. The cruisers is a really fun ship to RP, but in combat, its not all that great. The battleship... however...
