Kidding. Well, how do unlawfuls have the same credit system, essntially, Gauls use tradelane tech, but, its not the only stuff that they got, because, its likely that if the Neural net system was made by a company in Sirius and made widely avaliable, junkers would surely get their hands on it, meaning, eventually, so would the gauls.
Infact, this clicked in my head today as well, possibly have the Sirius credit cards worthless in gallia, and have gallic ones that are worthless in Sirius, with it impossible to buy one at the tiny price and sell it for 10k somewhere else.
If you can come up with an alternative, then lets impliment it. Until then, Keepers, Phantoms, Wilde, SCRA and Gallians will have to keep using Sirius Credits. The game simply wasn't designed to accomodate any other currencys.
Of course it's not the same currency. It has real different identification signature in the transfer and exchange software you use. Actualy the system works so good, that some of the newer generation does not even noticed yet that not their money is the only existing one.
I've heard Gallia is still stuck with exchanging goods. SC in gallia in fact doesn't mean "Sirius Credits" but instead "simple cattle" ... plus: what Kuthumii said

Look, in todays world, China is already pushing for a standardized global currency to replace all currencies (especially the Dollar). It can be assumed that before the Coalition - Alliance war started, this had already gone into effect, and by then everyone used a standard currency, which I assume to be the Credit. Therefore, every house would use credits, it would be logical to see unlawfuls use credit to in fact with this theory.
