Gallic Junker Shipline

Alright, so after completing the replacement bulldog model (though it still remains to be seen if it will replace that ship or be added as a new craft, that's really up to the other developers), I altered the model to create a light fighter and bomber from the same ship. These ships are all designed as gallic-junker-specific craft, Personally I would like to see the same gallia-only restrictions placed on these ships as have been on the rest of the gallic ships... I.e., these craft dont leave gallia, and they're specific to gallic junkers and not used by junkers as a whole - we've already got an entire shipline available for sirius junkers.

So, the three ships are posted below with multiple angle views as well as my new proposed stats and infocards. First up is the Heavy Fighter, which would be the mainstay craft of the Gallic Junkers:

Ferraille 120 "Puma" Heavy Fighter

"A recent design that came into use shortly after the start of the second Gallic war, the Puma is the craft of choice for Gallic Junker combatants and escort pilots. While it does maintain the ability to participate in salvage and small scale trade operations, the Puma sacrafices a salvage claw for a torpedo tube, giving it increased firepower when attacking opponents larger than itself. While it is a large ship compared to Heavy Fighter standards, the Puma more than makes up for it's size with impressive handling and speed."

Ferraille 60 "Chatte" Light Fighter

"The Chatte has been the mainstay of the Gallic Junkers for decades, serving as a cheap, reliable, easy-to-repair craft capable of both salvage operations, escort duty, and combat prowess. While many Gallic Junkers are now trading in their Chattes for the newer Puma heavy fighter, this ship remains an excellent support craft and a far cheaper alternative."

Ferraille 180 "Guepard" Bomber

"The Guepard is a new design based on a much older ship used by the Gallic Junkers centuries ago. The original variant was deemed too slow and cumbersome for combat, and too expensive as a standard salvage craft. The Guepard improves on it's failed ancestor, providing a smaller profile, more power output, and only slightly less cargo space. While it is still an expensive ship compared to the Puma or Chatte, the Guepard has proved an invaluable asset in tackling gunboats, cruisers, and battleships... all fo which have become more frequent since the start of the second Gallic War."

So, post your feedback on these models here. Primarily what we need to decide is:
-Should these replace current import models? (The HF would replace the bulldog, the LF would replace the Gitano, Bomber would have to be added as a new craft)
-Should all 3 be added to give the Gallic Junkers their own complete shipline?

Here are the size comparisons between the three ships. If anyone cares to provide me with a .3ds or .3dsm file for the current bulldog HF, I'll give a size comparison with it in the mix. Right now I have no real point of reference to sizes of other FL craft, since I cant import them into 3dsm.

heh, it's a shame I lost all my old model files when I was making stuff back during 4.84... I had a pretty decent junker bomber model, though I didnt really know how to texture back then, and it was far too small to be a bomber anyways... here's a pic I found way back in the developers forum:

Extremely good--alll of them. I'd see them added. Makes sense the Junkers in Gallia would have something to fight back with.

I'd see the CSV as the ship the Junkers took with them when they first left Gallia. These would be the ones that have developed since.

The Recycler and Collector and all would be ones developed outside of Gallia.

So yours really do add nicely to Gallic Junkers and establishes a great foundation.
