[17:56:01] Divine : if that theoretically happens, wouldnt the other nomads not shot that one form down, to resurrect it then via mindshare in another ship?

Even though the harvesters and the slomon'khara were both made by the dom'kvosh, that does not mean they are similar in many other ways. The harvesters are machines, highly advanced autonomous machines, but still machines. this means energy must flow through them almost constantly to keep them functioning fully. Nomads can control the flow of energy, therefore allowing them to control or overload any harvesters that show hostility or any intent to capture them. As far as the probe being sheilded, a shield is just energy, and can hence be controlled by nomads. And nomads are shapeshifters, so if they were captured (highly unlikely), they could simply change into a form that would allw them to escape. Finally, why would the harvesters and the slomon'khara even have hostilities? They were made by the same creatures, right?

Er, read the Harvester story, both of you. Let me find the link...

It's a bright idea. But it's giving the Harvesters and AI another undeserved ship allocated to only them. Have you seen the Harvesters roll call? 7 replies as of yet. I say we hold our horses on this until we can find a solid player base to build on.
What, 7 players isn't enough? How many do you need to be taken seriously? 20? 30? 50?
Anyways, I like this idea, but I think it's better suited to RP and not an actual ship flying around. For all you people yelling about "this wouldn't work!" this is a very rough idea of how I would go about it:
1. Figure out how nomads move through space
2. Find the control system for said movement
3. Isolate the nomad and find where and how it sends/receives information through the mindshare.
4. Jam that method of communication, either non-destructively like jamming or white noise, or destructively like lobotomy.
5. Use the wires into brain method to control ship functions. This will take lots of trial and error.
6. Stick the remote control in a backpack and strap it to the ship.
7. Profit!
After reading the majority of the posts here, and getting a good laugh, I would have to say just a few simple things:
The AI's don;t have a complete line of ships, there are only Two AI ships types available at this time. If we could get some one to develop a more complete line, that would be good.
Its an odd odd idea Tenacity, one thats ammusing in some ways as a lot of people are pointing out the issues that would pop up with such a ship flying. Not basging the idea itself. Just have to agree with many people here, it would not work with teh power trip between the Nomads and the AI's in general.
And you are correct tenacity, according to teh original Harvester write up, the Dom Kavash are part of the history, though I believe in a slightly different way.
Either way, I had a good laugh. :)
Fast Edit: Ash, undeserved is rather harsh, thats being a bit judgemental. As I said, there are only 2 actual AI ships. Compair that to how many Ships the Nomads have access to why don't ya, NOT to mention the ammount of equipment that is Nomad only compaired to teh AI limited equipment, which from what i see, comes equiped on teh AI ship and can not be bought by any other means.
I lol'ed at the images.......... good idea, slightly bad model though. Human controlled Nomad through the use of holotainment band technology.
Agreed about the AI situation though. With the addition that, while i use one myself, i'd rather an AI ship that looked less....spherical? streamlined?
Sure, the two current AI ships can be harvester influenced designs, but how about some generic, non-harvester influenced designs.
