In an effort to increase the visibility of some of the roleplay stories around here, the admin and moderating team is hosting a contest to find a great story to put on the main page.
What this means is, you could have your story featured on the main forum page and in the news section, and there is the possibility you could win an ingame prize. (Probably not credits though, sorry).
What you need to do is PM me the link to ONE! (1) completed story of yours. When I say complete, I mean it needs to have a definitive conclusion, and that if you were not allowed to ever add any more, you'd be happy with it. So log style stories like my Victor Remond, log of a Freelancer wouldn't count, but something like Commander Isacc Bringham and the HMS Nestor would be considered a valid submission.
Remember, one submission per person.
After I have read all the submissions (yes, all of them) I will have picked 4-8 to present to the admin/mod team, who will then pick the story that is placed on the main page. I should have them all read by Monday night, and hopefully I'll get the admins/mods to declare a 'winner' a week after that.
Hopefully if this goes well, I will be able to run a competition like this quarterly (4 times a year).
I have a 'clean' inbox, and you have 48 hours from now to submit your story. Remember, 1 per person, if you submit multiple stories, I'll just toss em all out.

Addendum: If you try to enter by posting in this thread or by sending me a Skype message I'll disqualify you.
Addendum 2.0: thanks Ivan/Kishiro, and thanks to johnpeter as well!
Addendum 3.0: these must be 'cannon' stories. No like Del's story where the Nomads didn't lose, while interesting, they don't fit. Sorry.
Places:
1: 90,000,000 credits, a spot on the home page, ingame prize
Dang, the Personality Dysfunction is far far from finished and I got an English Coursework Story to write anyway. Maybe I'll enter the P.D. in the next competition.
Great idea by the way.:)
[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

I've got a question which may apply to more than just me too..
I've got a Story, Questioning Loyalties, which has a definite ending, the thread is even locked now.. However, it is sort of like Chapter 1 of a series. On the other hand, it does solely define Evyn Hunter's undercover operations inside the BAF, and the ending is where that operation comes to an end. Chapter 2 (current on-going) is being written in a different thread.
@Dab: Yes, as long as they have a complete ending I'm ok with them. I just don't want to get invested in a story and then have a "to be continued" tacked on. As long as the story can stand by itself with all the traditional parts of a story I'm fine with it. (problem, climax, conclusion, ect).
@ Akura: This weekend is the only point that I forsee being able to read through all these stories. So no, sorry.
What is your take on stories created in a collaborative manner? What if a party sends more such stories, but less than the number of writers (and each sent by a different member of the group) so the "one per person" rule wouldn't de facto be compromised? Of course the members would have written a considerable partion of the story.
