There are some wrecks that can be looted once and some that can be looted multiple times... Making them all lootable once would be the first step... Then you could do some other regulations... Like making it impossible to store more than the freely available amount of codies (i mean the amount you can get yourself) say +1 in your ships cargo hold...

Ok. On codename looting:
The correct codename code insists that once a player has looted a code, the code will no longer be available from that ship, as a marker is saved onto the character account. BUT, the saving happens if you've a code in your hull once you -dock- not when you log out, so if you stay in space (in the same system) you can continue to loot the codes. Admittedly, some codenames don't have working locks, and that's because, as they're moved around (yes, they do get shuffled around from mod release to mod release) sometimes this code is not copy+pasted correctly. Some Codes lock, and some do not.
Luckily, codenames aren't as great as they once were, and so not so neccisary.

I understand how you feel. It's getting harder and harder to get ahold of these weapons, without having to do 3 hours of trading to pay for 2 of them. I had 2 weapons dealers before, but for guys who can't spend hours refreshing the sever status thread every 2 minutes, waiting for a server crash, we have next to no choice but to buy from dealers. Some charge as much as 8 million for an ONYX. And who can blame even them? Considering the amount of dealers present with the same goal on this server now, as well as the amount of time, energy, devotion it takes just to get even one of them in your hands.
One way was relayed to me while discussing this issue with Cannon, we make it so everyone has a shot at getting codename weapons with being bottle necked by the countless dealers out there would be to make it so these codies can also be salvaged from very difficult missions. I know someone is gonna be flying out doing 35+ difficult missions in O-15 in a battleship (reason I say O-15 is because 950K missions never involve capships even for corsairs), but perhaps we can reduce the ratio of code weapon to destroyed enemies so it isn't so easy to abuse.
But in this way dealers still have ways to gt their hands on codenames (although their price range will not be as expensive, and players have more of a fighting chance to get a codename weapon without shoveling 20 million for 1 ARCHANGEL.
