Either give the GS cargo capable of mounting at least CAU VI or change forward gun slot to class 8. At the moment GBs are useless against bombers and/or capital ships, all they can fight with are other GBs. And that is weak big time!
Hyperbole does not really fit in a balance discussion. Hunter Gunships can already mount cap 4 (which is sufficient to survive one supernova round) and can fight off a few bombers or fighters. So can every other gunboat.
Forward guns are pure EPICNESS! If the Bretonian gunboat had dual fwd guns like it did in vanilla that ship would be absolutely awesome.
Do not touch the forward guns.
EDIT: Actually, if you do touch them let them fire off axis like fighter guns and every turret in game, that would turn GBs with forward guns into gunboat killers.
there farly well balanced but on a side note the libbygb handles like a brick and dosent have the armor to stand up toi its slow speed it seems like it got sluggish in .85

Nah we just make it so that you can mount a turret on your forward gun slot... Nothing drastic... it can easily be done... you still would be unable to mount forward guns on your other slots...

Just out of plain curiousity, How could you do that? Can you make a slot capeable of firing both guns and turrets? Would you convert the gunboat forward gun into a class 9 turret?
