actually you know what, i have an idea for you, since you seem to be modding and whatnot.
Can it be possible to mount something as a tractor beam / scanner / id, that starts to drain the power of the ship once you're close to the said ship.
I'm not sure how to handle this but what i had in mind is that, for example, it mounts on CD slot and it drains enough power so few bombers can drain out a cruiser after minute of thrusting around less than 200m around him.
Maybe his shield needs to be down or something, but somehow i find it weird that there's no power draining weapons except tizona in this game and that's a damn shame.
With this included, piracy could extend to the battleships and whatnot =)
