Quote:5.6 If a player engages cruise engine or docks with a station, jump gate, or trade lane during a PvP fight, this player has fled the fight. The fleeing player must leave the system and may not re-enter the system where the fight took place with any of the characters on his/her account(s) while the enemy (player or players involved in the fight) remain in the system until four hours have passed from the time the fight ended.
When exactly PvP fight starts ? For example - I am in mining ship near my base and see hostiles on radar. I dock quickly asking base to prepare my fighter (this character have some other ship in base), but before I finish docking, hostile pirate demands money from me. IRP my character should just change the ship and protect the base etc, but I am not sure about rules - was it fleeing from PvP fight or not ?
The PVP begins after one ship has dealt 50% damage to the others sheild or has landed a CD (I don't agree with the CD counting as an attack but it does).
Basically if the guy has started firing upon you before you dock, don't switch as it's flirting with a re-engagement violation even if he didn't damage your shield 50%
I also have a question.
What happens if you are a trader, and you want to outrun your attacker/cruise into safety?
Is that allowed, or is it against the rules?
I'd like to know, because I don't atm to stop getting the USI negative attention.
but I would like to know...
