I finally figured out how to partition my drive without having to format and thereby lose everything on it, so I've installed Ubuntu for a dual-boot system. (I think anything that requires a level of competence anywhere near what Linux does would drive me insane within a matter of minutes.) It's pretty cool, although some applications just work better on Windows. (Wine isn't all powerful, sadly.) I'm still mucking about with it, but my graphical setup is basically done.

Anyhow, new OS, new desktop. (You didn't think I was just babbling about my operating system, did you?;))
