What's the scariest game you ever played?

yeah, definitely the first Silent hill, about 10 years ago, playing in the dark, in a basement, by myself.....

I have to agree here.

I never played the original Silent Hill but I've played Silent Hill 2 and 3.
Currently, I say Silent Hill 2 was the scariest horror game I've played.

I still remember the controller beating like a heart... Awwww **** >_____<
Couldn't hold on to the controller anymore after that.

But that was ages ago. I'm sure there are games more scary than Silent Hill series... right?

that game scared me so bad that i when i first got it. i played for 30 minutes and did not play it again for maybe a whole month or two.

F.E.A.R for me. I couldn't play Silent Hill and the like, I don't like too scary games, because ... they scare me too much:)Who knows why I got F.E.A.R at all...

I played Dark Project once when i was younger. Second or third level you got somewhere into a Cave. With Zombies. I immediatly closed the game and deinstalled it when i saw the first one.

The Dark Project is called Thief in the english versions I guess.

And yes, beeing in the catacombs was a hell of a job.

But everyone who managed it into the sealed off city and into the Cathedral........goood lord.
I nearly filled up my pants.

The Thief series......one of the best games ever. Especialy Thief 1.

Cant wait for Thief 4 beeing finished. Hopefully they dont make the same mistake like with Thief 3.

Recently? Metroid Prime 3. It's rare for games to actually scare me, but knowing that power cell I just pulled out of the wall released a bunch of Metroids pumped up on Phazon scared the crap out of me.

First times I played Survival Crisis Z and Left 4 Dead they scared me too. Not so much scarey scared, but jumpy scared because the Zombies come out of no-where and spook you.
