WoW can be appreciated when you can manage your playtime. I usually play it 4 or 5 hours per week, it's fun when there is always things to do with friends.
' Wrote:In the next addon we'll see a global warming-haunted Azeroth with undead paladins (Imagine them turning into bears).
Undead bears? Like um.. this?
He looks so happy!
And there was an undead member of the Argent Dawn, a Light-oriented organisation, Leonid Barthalomew:
"Leonid was a noble hero until he was killed and later resurrected by the Lich King as a mindless undead. He was eventually freed by the Banshee Queen, and became one of the Forsaken. Mistrusting many if not most of the members of the Forsaken, who he saw as dangerous, he left the Forsaken and is now loyal to the cause of the Argent Dawn.
He looks at his undeath as a malady. An illness that merely requires treatment, hence his loyalties. It is also a great advantage for the Argent Dawn. What better vessel to smite the abominations of the Scourge than one of the "redeemed" undead?"
Or Sir Zeliek in Naxxramas. A deadie so holy, the Light just had to give him a cookie.
The undead also have holy priests, so why not paladins? To be a paladin is a state of mind, as much as what you wear or who you fight for.
That said, I wouldn't roll one. I'm not much for playing paladins anymore.
The people there moan a lot less than people here, yes, you do get annoying nobodies pestering you, but is it any worse than here? No, it's better. You get 1 in 3 people here moaning, 1 in a thousand in WoW. And unlike here, you can ignore the WoW forums.

Actually you can ignore forums here. For most of the part I ignore it. All that bitching, whining and moaning that happens around I happily ignore, can't be arsed to think about it. Other times I just laugh at it and that's about it. Just gotta approach all this mess from the right perspective.
On the subject of topic, well, I used to play that, used to have a raiding guild. Frankly I got a lot of fun from playing it, but when the fun started to rapidly diminish I quickly turned away from the game and that was long before the first expansion came in even. For most of the part it's the lack of game world dynamism in this game that finally hit the nail into coffin of my attention towards it. MMORPG is in general a very exciting platform for gameplay experiments, but then again experiment is always a risk few if any in that business are willing to take, Blizzard aren't exception to stubbornly sticking to perfectly linear monorails in that aspect. On the other hand can't blame 'em really - it's a mainstream business nowadays pretty much.

*Insert foot in mouth here*
After seeing this trailer, I'm praying even harder that Old Republic comes out so I have something more to do in my spare time. The week before this expansion is released, I will be canceling my sub.
**** you Blizzard, congrats on ****ing up your cash cow game.
