You personally made a hitbox for it and declared it "fine". That very hitbox wasn't registering hits on back half the ship and allowed others to fly trough it.
Which is obivously the reason why it wasn't included.
If there's someone to blame, it's yourself.

Hej, du norske fjellgutt,
I take it, you are one of the modellers involved in ship creation ?
If I get a workable hitbox made this weekend, whats the procedure and timeline for getting it submitted, tested and pushed out to the clients via the dsupdate functionality ?
I hope the timeline for such a fix isn't in the order of months, since the "cubistic" hitbox currently in use in reality works as a (unintentional ??!?) balancing factor.

let`s not start pointing fingers now mate. most of us know what a pain hitboxing is, so people who`ve tried and given up on the Mako have my fullest sympathy.
maybe a new model for the Mako (Jinx?) with a different shape allows for a new hitbox that will fit snugly and not be buggy? something like the Beta Mako, only a tad different shape so the hitbox has to be made from scratch and god willing works.

As I said earlier in the thread, I'm prepping up to check on what can be done. I really don't see why a proper hitbox can't be made for the current Mako, unless we're running up against a limit of nodes and vertices. It's not that the Mako model is that complicated modelling wise.
So anyone who have tried to make the Mako hitbox earlier, please provide me the information on what has failed, and if known, why.

Open post 54.
I understand that you take offense to that. but let`s keep this discussion on topic.
@ mods/admins: if anyone makes a suggestive comment about another persons sanity/brain capacity/ sexuality/ or doubts his being home sapiens, please edit it before this topic becomes another useless flame war.
@ Millers I wish thee luck. the Mako has proven to be the biggest pain in the virtual bottom when it comes to hitboxing.

i could just slap you for this line...
various people spent months working on hit box for that ship including myself...none of them worked to full extent. So dont come here saying that we took easier way...because if any of our devs did that this mod would exist.
In any case, current model will be replaced and better hitbox will be applied (IMO current hit box issues are related to buggy model and not to the hitboxing). Till then, live with it.
As for nerfing....Light BS isnt meant to beat Heavy one with out great skill. There is also role play that not all factions can make equally strong, powerful and fast ships. Thus the difference.
i am the one that was so lazy to apply a "box" to the mako. - cause no other hitbox worked, i chose one that would roughly cover the most common view of this ship - the front profile.
if you don t like it - make a hitbox yourself. - if you don t want to make a hitbox yourself ... at least don t insult those that try.
and ... there are plans to replace the model? - i didn t know about such plans. - and i m also not really aware whats bugged about the mesh really.
These so called balance threads have become a disgrace of slander and personal attacks. They're done.
I was hoping to be able to just let them wind themselves down with the various gems of decent discourse standing above the general mudslinging but it seems like that's not going to be the case.
