But I still say change the bomber's weapons and their settings. Boosting the fighter's gunspeed will drastically change the fighter's fairing against EVERY class in the game.

Tic, I really think you're underestimating the strength of the Bounty Hunter ships. The BH bomber is an extremely lethal ship, far more lethal than the Order Sekhmet. Many Order players complain about the Sekhmet being a brick and just today, I witnessed, on my Order fighter, 4 BH Bombers completely decimate 3 Osirises, 1 Corsair Cruiser, and 1 Corsair Gunboat. It took us nearly an hour before we could kill the bombers. BH Bombers are so agile that they can dodge very easily and inflict serious damage. As for the Orca Gunboat...agility is the most powerful factor in fights, not firepower. In fact, last Sunday, at the BHG vs. Order capital ship fight, I was on my Orca (I think you remember. I saw you there on Verloc) and I was the last ship left with a Carrier. The Orca's agility was so good that I could evade the Geb's turrets and take out its shields. Unfortunately, I lagged out and couldn't finish the job...
Everything I just said was not made up. If you know what you're doing, the Bounty Hunter ships can make you near invincible.
Now for the Mako...today, in the same fight with those BH Bombers, I accidentally rammed a Mako (ACCIDENTLY! Don't sanction me please...). The funny thing is...I rammed empty space. I hit the bottom of the back side or the cube-like hitbox. The first thing that went through my head was "Wow, the Mako's hitbox really is screwed up." Therefore, I can see the Mako really does need a hitbox fix.

All that aside - keep in mind that the BH ships CAN use all the house weaponry aside from Kusari.

we don`t ask for better ships. we ask for equal ships. there`s a very big difference.
people keep dragging the bomber in the eqation so I`ll humor the lot of ya and bite.
you say the BHB bomber is great. we should use that instead of caps. say we oblige. how would corsair and Order cap players like it if every BHG squadron consists of a minimum of 4 bombers and no caps? that`s what BHG enemy players seem to want.
I wonder how much fun will be left for Order and Corsair players when their caps get bombed to hell every time they show up and they can`t do anything to stop it? I wonder how Order and Corsair players would like it if there are no BHG caps to fight because the BHG bombers should be used instead.
I`ve seen it happen WAY too often in events and spontanious fights. an Ossie or Geb shows up and gets bombed to hell within 30 seconds. is that fun for the Order player? get my point?
I`m not trying to selfishly get BETTER ships like some of you like to believe. I`m trying to promote the use of equal caps ships to give both sides an enjoyable cap experience. right now, flying a BHG cap is hardly fun for most of us. and believe me, when we resort to bomberswarms, you lot will find flying caps to be very, very little fun also.
and if the BHG caps are supposed to be weaker, I can live with that. IF people accept that they`ll need a numirucal advantage to fight equally. will BHG enemies like that? no. they`ll shout "ganking"! from the top of their lungs.
example: Geb vs Bullhead -> Bullhead dies within 30 seconds
level the playingfield
Geb vs 2 or 3 Bullheads (dunno what would be more equal) -> Geb probably dies
the Geb player will cry crocodile tears, saying he gets ganked every time.
or take the corsie Dread
dread vs Mako -> Mako dies
dread vs 2 or 3 Makos -> Dread dies taking at least 1 or 2 Makos with him
and then he`ll call the Mako players gankers
(just some examples, do not take offense lads)
Jinx brought this up a while back, but no one took notice then. stats are one way to level the playing field, numbers the second. but using numbers will undoubtly start a barrage of verbal abuse and hatred.
Still, I have trouble believing that the Core makes crap ships with all the money and knowledge it has. and about an army of engineers on the payrole (whom all should be sacked for coming up with that lousy BHG turret)

I've no idea what they're like because I've never flown one.
But, if they are under par in relation to the capital ships they fight, meaning those belonging to their enemy NPC factions, those they need to be balanced against, then I will say, they should get boosted appropriately.
It's not my job to determine how much or if, but the principle is there. It should be up to the dev team to discuss it with the BHG players, and give them a chance to speak, be heard, and make appropriate changes if they find it necessary.
And speaking as an Order player, the BHG caps are not that tough to crack with a few Nepthyses.:P
Edit: And .. no more "Fly your other ships" arguments. That's an incredibly unwise thing to say.

So, the hit box (Mako) is being fixed because it is to big/odd shape/easy target?
If that happens, does the hull strength need to be adjusted?
Mako can't fight an Ossie?
Again, with the change to the hitbox, quite a crucial part of combat, maybe the gap between them will close.
It may prove the adjustment is all thats needed to change the above two issues. I would suggest we 'suck it and see'. Until we see the effect of that change, I wouldn't alter anything else.
BHG turrets are too weak?
Talking of the cap weapons I assume, there may be room for improvement but bear in mind there are a lot of possible choices, not just BHG.
Reading what the other posters here say, are there problems with the other ships hit boxes?
What do you think they are?
Is that worth investigating or how about firing arcs (as many have suggested)?
I will second the fact that the BHG do have some great ships. The bomber and gunship for example.
Scary stuff, although I do appreciate the fact this thread isn't about that.
