Soon after the pirates fled from the battle, Exeter under-went extensive repairs, giving Lietenant Harris time to report on said battle. Since my Templar was damaged beyond repair, i purchased a new Templar and began to patrol Cambridge once again.
As soon as I entered space I sensed that this wasn't a good idea. Minutes later the Corsair gunboat and AW bomber were on my tail. After fighting a losing battle and taking a lot of damage, i reasoned that a temporary retreat into New London was the best option. There I re-stocked and repaired my ship, and prepared to re-enter Cambridge.
During my repairs, the Corsair had been joined by another, reducing any chance i had of victory to a mere 0. Also, SiN|Tech had arrived in Cambridge to protect their assests, but nothing more. With SiN|Tech keeping Cambridge safe, I searched for the Corsairs and AW. Contact was made at Battleship Norfolk and a dogfight ensued with the AW bomber, the Corsair gunboat and a Corsair titan. This was all watched by SiN|Tech-Op.Omega.
Without warning, the Corsair titan opened fire upon SiN|Tech, causing minor damage. It seems that AW and SiN|Tech have a friendship of sorts, as AW then opened fire on the Corsair Gunboat, leaving me to battle the titan, which was immeadiately dissintegrated:
With AW's attention on the gunboat I seized my chance to eliminate the large of the two opponents, and opened fire on the gunboat. Unfortunately, the gunboat was given the chance to run before his ship was turned to space dust. With the gunboat disappearing into the Nebula near the omega 5 jumphole, I once again engaged the AW bomber. This lasted for several minutes, with damage taken on both sides.
Luckily, Beta 3 had just come on duty and I received immeadiate assistance, giving me sometime to receive urgent repairs. When I re-enterd space I joined Beta 3. With both of us trained on the bomber, AW took heavy damage and retreated towards the Omega 3 jumpgate.
Beta 3 and I then engaged the Corsair gunboat, as it had returned and was destroying BAF ships. With the gunboat on the run, luck seemed to be on our side, until an AW ship (Liberty Gunboat) sneaked up on our tail and opened fire. (I can only assume that the Corsairs and AW had settled their differences in a private channel.) Beta 3 sustained heavy damage and I survived barely, due to my ship's higher manouverability. Beta 3 ejected and retreated, to inform command of the battle in progress.
Knowing i was out-numbered and out-powered, i merely ran circles around the enemies and waited for backup, making no attempt to attack. A fully repaired Exeter then appeared on my scaners.
Although it dealt moderate damage to the enemy ships, Exeter, as any frigate would, found it hard to cope with the higher manouverability of the gunboats and both Exeter and I sustained heavy damage. We were then forced to retreat to Planet Cambridge to repair.
After launching in a new ship, i discovered Lane-Hacker [HF]-Vulture to have joined the Corsairs and AW in the seige upon SF. I then engaged the Lane hacker. Due to the numbers against us, Battleship Repulse was called for assistance.
(Sorry, seems you posted whilst I was writing :nyam:)
(OOC: Ant, I never 'ejected' from my bomber. You never killed me, so you cannot say that. I retreated, did not 'eject.')

This is Captain Neratin. We have destroyed an entire SF fleet, and will again. Your home is no longer safe from us. We can and will strike into the heart of your territory and kill you again and again. We will not stop until the SF is dead, or accepts our terms of surrender.
The SF has lost, you just have yet to realize it. And it is my job to show you just how badly you have lost.
(OOC: I'm not saying that anyone intends to flame, but in order to keep this from a flame fest, let's take all OOC problems related to this battle out of the message dump starting now.)

After the devastating defeat of the SF fleet in Cambridge Sierra has been once again reduced to scrap metal and sent to Southampton. The engineers at BMM are done complaining and decided to charge the BAF more for their services on the Sierra from here on out.

Situation Report:
With the heavy defeat of our forces in Cambridge today at the hands of the HF, Brotherhood and AW. Steps are underway to repair our forces. Through trade arrangements with Rheinland, a steady flow of engine parts and equipment has been flowing between Cambridge and New Berlin for some time, which is aiding in the repair of our vessels. With AW's attacks on both Liberty and Bretonia, as well as the apparent theft of Rheinland property, makes me very interested in the Zoner's opinion of the AW using their bases to launch these attacks. In any case, the SF will continue its role of protecting traders in the Omega's to the best of its ability. As far as I'm aware the AW have yet to attack trading vessels, but given their new alliance with the Brotherhood, I wouldn't trust them on that regard any longer since although they might not attack, I suspect they will turn a blind eye while a trader gets blasted by one of their allies. Advise traders to avoid Omicron Theta in lieu of these recent attacks and lets provide them with more protected routes.
In addition, recent attacks have seen numerous pirates using a Corsair designed gunboat. The gunboat design is very durable with heavier firepower than the Bretonian design. I would like research done to investigate the weaknesses of this new design if any are present.
In addition, with the constant attacks of the Kusari and now these pirate groups, I'm considering the withdrawl of our forces from the Unknowns. The withdrawl will allow the Nomads to launch more attacks in Omicron Delta and possibly allow them further access into Sirius, but we're in no position to provide aid on that regard with the constant threats back home. The withdrawl should also aid to convince the Corsairs that maybe they should reconsider using their ships to attack the SF versus defending their own borders from the Nomad advance. Any counter thoughts?
Take heart my friends the AW, HF, and others are acting out of desperation due to major defeats in other arenas. As ever, the South Alliance shall stand firm in the face of such pirates and villians. If any resources, at our command, are in need please do not hesitate to holler. In addition, LNS-RedBear, SA-OsoRojo, LNS-Thunderbolt, and LNS-Valhalla shall be on station in preparation for the SF-Horizion, the Void willing and the creeks don't rise.

Sierra has ordered the Horizon to delay its departure as there was a massive AW, HF, and allied fleet in California. After receiving the request for assistance, the SFDS-Askari moved in, but it was requested by SA that Sierra comes, regardless of additional distance from California.
Sierra, York, King's Lynn, and Beta4 entered system fighting a losing battle, but were able to turn the tide with the destruction of the AW flagship for a long period of time. However, AW reinforcements came, and after losing many defending ships, SF was forced to pull back to Cambridge. The casualty count was too high.
Several ships were destroyed, and Sierra was damaged, but repaired the ship in space. Just before our retreat, the York was severely crippled.
Additionally, there were discrepancies with Bs| about SF ships attacking them. I'm not sure who fired the first shot, but Bs|Ali soon after attacked Sierra as it was in an asteroid field waiting for York. However, escaping this fighter, SFBS-Sierra engaged Bs|Silva crippling it. Soon after, following negotiations with Bs|, we were able to keep our alliance from falling apart.

As per discussions with Liberty and AW, SF vessels have been ordered to withdraw from California and will not be providing further assistance to the SA in defending Liberty from the HF. AW has agreed to similar actions by withdrawing forces from Liberty and Bretonia, and have returned to an Unfriendly status. HF are still hostile in Bretonia. If HF are encountered order them to leave immediately or they will be fired upon. For AW if encountered in Bretonia have them identify their destination and escort them while in Bretonia. Their traders are not welcomed but may dock in Bretonia anyways. AW is not to linger in Bretonian space, they get in and get out. SF traders have been offered the availability of Theta; however, I see no reason to perform trade with a group that would so easily take up arms against us. Furthermore, the commodities available from Rheinland are much more useful to the SF. Other groups however will continue to trade with Theta in order to obtain the materials they need in which case the SF will continue to offer protection up until the jumpholes to Omicron Theta.

Situation Report
After travelling to New London to investigate the pressence of an SCRA vessel. Received a distress call when the RACS-Nussebull attacked a BAF friendly vessel (green in hud) in Cambridge. Upon returning to Cambridge found the destroyer in chase of the friendly gunboat and commenced firing. Said gunboat escaped safely to New London. Battle ensued but the destroyer alone was no match for a battleship and was forced to withdraw from the area. The pilot of the destroyer was noted for skilled manuveuring and caution is advised for future engagements.
(OOC: Good fight despite the odds Nussebull, as for the come with a destroyer comment...if you look at my signature you'll note there is no destroyer so can't really help ya there and my gunboat is in the vacinity of Tau-31 which is a little far to travel to make a difference).
