"I'd rather use our forces to strike at our enemy directly. Showing how the Military has thousands of ships is not very motivating, you know. Showing how we blast them however is. We need to show the weakness of the military, not their strength."
"Well it's not like we're sendin' our Walrus tae talk tae the doubters, hell we'd probably be able tae take a Flea out there! Better tae talk tae them as another person rather'n the pilot of the same ships those we're tryin' tae turn them away from.", Iain chipped in, "Our more military-intended ships can keep up the good fight when they're needed."
Stepping up for a moment, Jamieson walked over to the bar again to have Dutch pull another beer. He could still hear the conversation of the others on his way across the floor of the Embassy.
Michael nods approvingly. "Well yes, that is true. Now that we finally found the system bug that stopped us from switching on the hessian improved systems in our ships we can now finally use our ex-military ships at full strength. That will make an even bigger impact on people as they see their national heroes in their old equipment fighting for the greater good.
And yes, of course that plan with Liberty was far fetched but if it were to happen like that, why not.
And we are surely making an impact on the people. The citizens on Holstein and Mainz are both used to seeing our ships in their orbit a lot.
Michael looks out the window an his eyes lose themselves in the cloudy sight of Holstein "Oh yes, the Walrus"Michael drifts off as he thinks about his ship flying towards Holstein
Erich walks into the establishment, a pair of holo-phones on his ears. His head rocks foreward and back in a slow "headbang" as he listens to some tune that at present only he appears beholden to.
As per usual, Erich takes his seat as far away from the center of the room as he can.
Michael is already in his normal spot, leaning against the window, looking into the distance. He is thinking and he doesn't even realise that Erich has come in and sat down.
Michael is thinking about a few different things, his mind is wandering. He is looking at Holstein and sees a Rheinland Train going bye. He tries to think about what it would have been like if he had worked for Republican instead of the Militay.
Then for some reason he has to think of that short 1 second smile that Kommandant Eistochter gave him a few days back. He then forces his mind to think about something else; he ends up sinking back into deep thought about some infected pilots, that the Wilde had taken, that he had to eliminate a few days back.
Walking into the bar, again after touching down on Bruchsal in yet another different ship, Jamieson made his way to the bar. Dutch must have have been round the back somewhere, because it seemed The Ambassador was working the taps for the moment. Working had been thirsty work, so he decided to risk it...
"Hello 'Bas, lookin' well today. Hmm... how about I go for an Eltmann Ale today? Just a pint tae get me started if ye dinnae mind."
Not bad, thought Jamieson, waiting until he had his back turned before pulling the hairs out of the drink's head. Nodding to Michael, who had looked up at the noise of Ambassador's pint-pulling, he made his way to Erich's distant table.
"Just heard back fae the engineers at Vogtland: they managed to get the Laoch de Soisealachd up and workin' again. The burst ae radiation that disabled her just afore Dresden seems tae have jammed the authorisation codes, but they've managed tae fit some new guns and shields on the ol' girl and she's almost flyin' at her best. Takin' her out again's got me right thirsty..." Iain rambled, taking a gulp of ale before continuing, "How are ye daein' Erich?"
Erich furrows his brow at Iain as he tilts his head back and allows the holo-phones to fall from his ears. "The Lay-och de S-... Soyseelached?" Erich butchers the pronunciation of the decidedly Gaelic words. "What is that?"
Laughing, Iain explained, "Nah, it's Laoch de Soisealachd - The Socialist Warrior. Decided tae keep my political background, but also Molly it up a little. Just call her Laoch for ease if I ever take her out wi' yehs. I think most would be rather confused tae see a Molly ship flyin' around Rheinland though, so maybe just further afield eh?
Erich nods twice, seemingly more comfortable placing one holo-phone in his left ear, leaving the other free to hear Iain. He raises a brow inquiringly.
"I presume you to be something of an Ex-Molly, then? I do not believe that I have heard your story yet, if you are willing to share it."
Freya walked into the bar. However instead of her normal steady walk where she would almost march into the place she seemed troubled and uncertain now. She also has her uniform opened up and that too is quite unusual for her. Common Freya, relax for once. Forget about all the serious business for once. she thought.
She moved uneasily to the group in the back.
"Hallo, Herren"
And she took a seat next to Michael. She looked at his face and smiled, then quickly turned to look the other way when she realized he noticed and she blushed slightly.
