' Wrote:Can anyone see the strength of the USA within this debate of the Mosque? Hehehehe....Anyone?....Please, dear Void, does anyone see it?
Instead of riot in the streets and outright genocide! We are debating it! God Bless the USA!
YeeeeeHaaaaaaaa!
No. I see the weakness of the USA in that it's an issue at all. I wonder what would have happened if someone had built a Sikh Gurdwara, or a Synagogue or a Chruch... Oh... Nothing. Nobody would have cared, because there's a whole heap of Islam hatin' goin' on.
' Wrote:Well, it depends on the person. If the muslim worker was truly muslim, they wouldn't. But if they were a radical or one of those terrorist-followers then ya i suppose they would build it.
So someone who's a true Muslim wouldn't built a totally innocuous place of worship, because... why?
Alright. So lets change the scenario a little. Say a group of American soldiers wants to build a church in Iraq, and the site they choose to build it is a place in Baghdad where an American bomb took out say, an Iraqi military HQ, but also killed 45 civilians. Not unheard of.
Do you think that there would be a moral uproar in America about this?
' Wrote:It's just.. that now 'a days, they only use the bad things from the koran and practically make their own rule book. Which is basically kill anyone that doesn't agree with us.
I see bigotry, ignorance and hatred here. Wild generalisation and an utter disregard for the massively varied range of beliefs which fall under the bracket of Islam. Islam is peace, or so parts of the Koran say. Christianity is said to be the same, but look at the crusades, inquisition, reformation, counter reformation, and the new crusades being fought in the middle east right now.
' Wrote:Would someone like to explain why the building dedicated to showing the world that not all Muslims are terrorists is "defiling hallowed ground" at three blocks away, but the strip clubs one block away are totally fine?
This comment made me want to be sick. Thank you for making me realise (again) just how vile humanity is Sov.
' Wrote:Agreed, for the most part. But as far as i know.. only modern day Muslim terrorists kill people they don't like. So when you find christians killing each other, you tell me and I'll agree with you fully. But hey don't get me wrong, the catholics are extremely loony in the head as well.
Ireland. Have fun digging through that. protestantism, Catholicism, Unionists and supporters of the Republic.
I'll stop. You're getting the picture I'm sure. There's plenty more out there.

America is by law. Not all Americans are by word and deed.
' Wrote:How many Christian Churches are there in Mecca or Medina?
There is no place in America which is considered to be a holy city for the local faith. Lets look to Europe. Santiago de Compostela in Spain... Considered to be a holy city. The nearest Mosque is 65 kilometers away in A Coruna.
There are eight Mosques in Rome, but none inside the Vatican city. You getting the picture yet?
' Wrote:Consider me a racist/islamophobe/nazi all you want
Ok.

Northern Ireland. It's nothing new, and nothing Muslim.
Second half of the post on it's way... Quotes broke due to there being too many.
' Wrote:Oh, btw. Building a mosque near Ground Zero is about as provocative as building a Soviet war memorial near Katyń.
You're wrong. It's not. Muslim does not equate to "people in planes crashing into buildings".
' Wrote:Muslim Cleric calls for Beheading of Geert Wilders
What exactly are you saying? Using the actions of one man to damn an entire faith? Your argument sucks.
' Wrote:Last, here's an image from Europe ....
Here's one from America. Talk about Christian and American tolerance shall we?
Sickening huh? Using children as well. Arn't we in the west so effin' civilised.

What Laowai said is right.
' Wrote:in time they will build a mosque in your city too.
Just who is this 'they'? Why is having a place of worship from a faith which is not yours somewhere nearby a bad thing? Have you ever been inside a mosque? You're more than welcome in most, so long as you don't burp, fart, wear pig on your feet... I think that's pretty reasonable. Perhaps if you actually got to know the culture which is moving in... But no, that's be far too much effort "get the bastards out because they're not like me" is a far easier position to take, right?
Just what harm is having a "mosque in your city" going to do to you?
Grow up.
' Wrote:If you consider the second picture, the one you posted, to be equal to the first one, the one I posted, then I think you need to step back a minute.
There are people in the second picture sayinfg "islam must be stopped". That's a euphemism. Zapp has it right.
' Wrote:South Park is parody and satire television. They regularly have Jesus on there as a character. I haven't heard any comments about death threats to the creators of that show because of that. Oh, but we'll put Mohammad on there and lo....
But that is because the Koran SPECIFICALLY states that images of the prophet mohammed are sacreligious. You've completely neglected to take that into account. I expect if that were the case with Christianity (it's not, there are images of christ everywhere within christianity) then the uproar from the devout types in america would be violent and nasty.
I'm starting to wonder what your agenda is with regards to Islam. Do you hate it? You seem determined to paint it in a negative light.
Leaving everything aside, how is it not wrong that people should be discriminated based on their religion? If not that, then what makes discriminating against them right?
Of course, you could argue against these points with some religions, but you can't really against islam.

People who don't eat pork are murderers, isn't it obvious ?
Quote:People who don't eat pork are murderers, isn't it obvious ?
Ehh
But anyway, I just saw:
Quote:Noah himself is thought to have moved further eastward and believed to have started the first Chinese dynasty.
Like you said, any non-christian or non-jew won't believe that or anything else you say, but there's definitely no record of that in christian/whateverelse documents and anything that's written maybe 1000 years before Xia at most is pretty much intelligible chicken scratch - in fact, top scientists are trying to work out what half of them mean now. Of course, that being said, the first Chinese dynasty was founded by a man who had his entire life recorded down (yes, the first dynasty was Xia). The Chinese 'Great Flood' was actually the Yellow River overflowing, as it does quite often, before precautions were put into place. Unless of course, Noah was born in Beichuan.
All this having been said, there are so many other ancient religions and civilizations that don't record any kind of great flood, possibly a majority of them.
So I'd like to see a link to that. A bit off-topic I know, but I was interested, so meh:)(It's not like the post above wasn't a +1 anyway)

Noah didn't exist...or I may start to search for Santa's house on google earth. or his hidden toy factories.
As I said...build a McDonalds...I bet nobody will find it offensive to cook junk meals on zero ground. Imagine that hmm
EDIT: But on another hand, if you would build McDonalds in india where cows are sacred...I bet they would mind also. Or a meat factory with only pork in Islam countries.
Blame your government. As LR blamed my mother on several occasions.
