I had a thought about long and short names of the ships.
At the moment the have the short name inside the long name.
Like J50P-B3 "Umibozu" Kusari Bomber
Would it be too much trouble to have the ships named as short name, then long name?
e.g. "Umibozu" J50P-B3 Kusari Bomber and the "Argus" IMG Battlecruiser
Or even Umibozu - J50P-B3 Kusari Bomber and the Argus - IMG Battlecruiser
What do yah think?

The current system makes sense to me. Take the Sabre for example.
Series Z "Sabre" Border Worlds Very Heavy Fighter
now we disect it.
Series Z is the 'product name' of the ship, so to speak. Sabre is the name of the ship, Border Worlds is the 'product line' and Very Heavy Fighter is it's class.
Series Z is the official name of the ship, which is why it comes first.
And Sabre Series Z Border Worlds Very Heavy Fighter doesn't sound right to me.
At first I agreed with you, then I saw what Nighthawk said. It makes sense the way it is (mainly having the Series # first) because think of it like this:
If an official had a list of all the ships in commsion He'd want to sort them by the official name, not the Nickname. So he'd have all the Series Z's in one spor rather than all the sabres in all the same spot. It sounds more official like this way.
Maybe having the Nickname at the end would be better?
Series Z - Border Worlds Very Heavy Fighter - "Sabre"
Or something.
Just a thought
