' Wrote:*cough* And you're implying the gunboat had any defense against the battlecruiser? Don't get me wrong, I still agree that it's powergaming, I just thought it was a sad irony considering I deal with this sort of thing on a day to day basis.
Except Jimmeh usually wins against the Battlecruiser...
Let's have a new example.. powermetagaming!
Here goes:
Let's say the Lane Hackers are about to seal a deal (similar to Vanilla) where they help smuggle Corsair artifacts into Liberty space. They have a diplomatic post about it, and a bunch of transmissions go back and forth. I then read that topic, then go tell every indie Outcast I can find that the LH are traitors, so they can all go down to Liberty and start to blast at every LH they see because they are now trading with the OC's enemies. Then I go post on the Council of Dons (Ministers, whatever that silly thing is called now) that I used my leet hacking skills, and intercepted the transmission that was coded by a Hacker... the techie geeks that can turn a game of Pong into Crysis graphics, then double triple encrypt it and send it to eat your system then crap it out again.
tl;dr - powergaming: I hacked a Hacker Transmission with my leet Outcast skills
metagaming - with the hacked transmission I got the info and told everyone about it.
