Easy question: Is piracy going to change, now that transports full with ore worth around 60 million credits are traveling the lanes? Will pirates demand taxes of 10 million credits from A-Trains filled with gold ore?
Cargo piracy doesn't work on miners, there is no sale location other than lawful bases as far as I know.
I have yet to be pirated while hauling ore (or pirate someone who does), but I'm curious how others handle this issue?

aren't you overacting a little bit? and even if, no it shouldn't because they wouldn't make a difference between those who mined it and those who bought it the regular way. And there are barely trips letting you gain 10 million

cargo piracy works awesome
I pirated third from a guy few days ago, 1000 niobium ore.
sold it to junker for 8mil, he sold it on for 14
I pirated another one, aka i blew him up and got 3k niobium because he refused to give third of it.
Then i sold it to a guy for 35 mil.
what do you mean piracy doesn't work?
EDIT: Hooray for mining and pirating the miner's cargo. Promotes further rp!
Niobium ore sells for 12k on New Berlin. If two miners fill up an A-Train, the cargo is worth 60 million credits, other ores sell for even more.
If I had cargo worth that much, I wouldn't even hit the undock button without having a heavy escort, but those arn't always availiable.
Edit: Pirating said A-Train for 1/3 of his cargo is in fact a fee of 20 million. You are also not only 'pirating' this specific guy, but three at once (their shared profits at least)
Teamwork works well on cargo piracy, but lone pirates in fighters/bombers don't have that possibility.
Then I guess you should safekeep it for when you feel safe to transport it. I just hope people don't go whining on the ammount being pirated now, because I still make more profit from taking the nuclear devices from those few brave that try to take it to BHG.
Excuse me? This was not about whining, but asking a simple question.
I am just wondering if pirates are willing to keep the time and efford in mind that is needed to fill up a transport with ore, much in contrary to hit the 'buy nuclear devices' button at the commodity dealer.
I have miner characters and I have pirate characters as well. I know both ends of the szenario.
No, I know you weren't whining man, I mean, I just hope people don't start doing it now.
I take third of the cargo, and that was the general rule if you're neutral trespassing. I think mining is greatly profitable, but people should expect raids on their mining spots. And when someone mines for hour, and someone comes, finds you, and takes your ore, you should accept it.
Please, try to group up people. You have better chance. Mining is rewarding but risky as well.
