Hey folks, I've not had the chance to test the altered bomber weapons yet, even in Update 1 I hadn't had a good go at them.

How has the 2nd update altered the bomber weapons effectiveness in combat? I'm not much of a bomber pilot any more, but I know there is a niche of players who are bombers.
EDIT: I think I best put statistics of the old guns from Update 1, then paste in the stats for the new ones. Give me bit.
That's what I got from in-game infocards. If the information is correct, then the only changes seem to be in the refire rate. And 40 extra shield damage for the EMP cannon.
Ranges were nerfed from 950 to 770 and the refires from 4.00 to 3.03. Rest of the stats are the same. Main reason of this change was because cruisers were being chewed up rather quick. I'd still like to hear what people think about the changes after spending some time with them.
Old range was around 950. New range is 770? This earns Boss' Stamp of Fail.

I think it was altered so to stop the cruisers being annihilated. That was the reasoning behind it I think. But I have no idea personally since I'm a bad bomber pilot.

If they want to nerf the range and refire, then energy cost needs to be lowered and damage needs to be raised. Simple as that.

Oh well as a Bomberwhore i must say i am not so happy.. but i will deal and get used to it.. so shall the rest.
The bomber in the last update was good, and i am sure this one wont change the facts 2.5 hits on shields and thee is no shields to worry about (for fighters) Against caps this will effect the outcome.. Not so great in my opinion but nothing to get too worried about
Just had a go with the Energy Cannon loadout with an Upholder vs a Barghest, the Cannons are quite hard to be effective. It takes 5 seconds of concentrated fire to drop enemy shields.
