it certainly hasnt been an often occurrence, and when being chased with SNAC's it's hard to think "I wonder how my pressing of F3 to this neutral station will affect the diplomatic climate throughout IMG and bretonian territory"

honestly, i challenge you to think of the political implications of your docking every time you need to get somewhere.
there's no notifications on the forums that it's wrong other then here, but it's been discussed now, sooooo....

To protect Holman from the Bretonians? HAHAHAHAHAA. What utter rubbish. Kusari put a battleship there to protect the system from the Bretonians, check the news articles on IMG bases mate. They don't give a damn about us.

Bretonia launched a direct attack on the IMG? Care to show proof of that please?

I've got a couple screenshots of in game news right here, news that comes from the IMG on Holman station in fact. So you can't exactly say it's biased against IMG...

Here we see the IMG telling us that Bretonia launched an attack against them forcing Kusari to step in on their behalf, it also mentions how the IMG knows that the Outcasts are helping Bretonia. The following shot is for anyone that isn't aware of IMG diplomacy and shows their only two enemies being the Outcasts and BMM (I didn't take the shot correctly, but it cuts off where it's about to say that the conflict between the IMG and BMM is one of the reasons for the Bretonia/Kusari war, I can provide that part if anyone wants).



Here is the IMG telling us that the Bretonians are paying the Mollies to place mine fields around Harris. Also some more info about them working with the Outcasts, which obviously isn't good for the IMG:


And these three are the news about how IMG is worried, and how Holman was hit on accident but received a formal apology from the KNF, it also mentions how the IMG is trying to remain neutral:




And this is news from the Yamaguchi (the KNF battleship sitting outside Holman) reporting the incident about Holman getting shot. You'll notice that the KNF apologized and had the officer shot for refusing to perform seppuku for his incompetence. Seppuku, for those that don't know, is the ritual suicide through disembowelment.

I am surprised the Bretonians are not upset that Holman is being used as a supply depot for the Kusari Navy.

Which is why we haven't only done shady deals with one side...

Mollies and BAF dont count as "both" sides of this little conflict. In all my time in Kusari, I have not once seen the IMG faction do anything, or make any deal with the Kusari. I have seen it with others but not the Kusari.

You're reading the kusari side of the rumours, available on all kusari bases and IMG bases (igiss put them there, I guess).

Igiss wanted to make IMG betray Bretonia, hence the storyline, unfortunately for him, it makes no sense for IMG to betray Bretonia. The Kusari BS near holman is there to attempt to protect supply lines, which are under threat from Dundee, which is why the place was attacked.

IMG has;

The Hood
Cardif
South Shields
Aland (yes, bretonia can feasably capture that)
And questionably Freeport 4 and Pecos within Bretonia's grasp

So, 4 (or 6) bases to lose in pushing BAF to the limit, I suppose if they had already pushed BAF to the limit as you suggest, they'd not hold these bases anymore, right?

Compared to the bases IMG has in KNF's reach;

Holman.

Tau 23/37/Orkney are untouchable to KNF, KNF did not even attempt to move into tau 23 and take out the BMM base, nevermind all the way up to Java past the Outcasts in extremely thick rocks filled with mines, maybe they could sneak an attack into newcastle and blow up South shields, though that's a bit of a waste of resources.

But yeah, um, don't dock on the Hood, be an incident between BAF and IMG.. wait, you'd want that I guess? Makes sense, though IMG might be forced to declare itself against you (then bye bye holman I guess).

Actually no. I dont like that things will end up here before they even started. Lets start by someone actually catching Kishiro docking on IMG and proving it.

Unless ofcourse, IMG wants to pull the first lever and tell Kusari that Hood's doors are closed for them

People, keep in mind that the news reports on Disco are done much in the same way real news is done today..

There are two sides to every story. This is especially true of Kusari and Bretonia. Just keep that in mind. You need to research ALL of the infocards, not just those on the Kusari bases. I recommend you go grab FLDev and use it before pulling out rumors to support either side.

Lastly; What does this have to do with piracy?

If you want to go yell at something, do it at your screen. I am telling you, as an IMG member who helped write half the damned RP of the faction, and wrote the other half myself, that Kishiro, along with any damned corporation, is NOT ALLOWED ON THE DAMNED HOOD

You can ignore 2 years of RP if you wish, the bigots I was talking about earlier seem to aswell, so you won't be alone in your thinking.

It doesn't really matter what I say to be honest, as you lot will do whatever you damned well please, and then sneer at me about it later. You can do whatever the hell you like, but whenever I try and do something that's not what's "accepted" IMG policy I get shot down in a heartbeat.

I mean, okay.. I get you here. You wrote lore, you spent 2 years on it, worked hard and you have some random people now going off topic and jumping all over Hood in Dublin.

I see where obstacles lie. But come on, seriously man, can you offer something in exchange, or a reason why we shouldn't dock on Hood but should keep the relations we have with IMG now?

Or are we supposed to take that for granted? I mean, ok, if you tell me we are. I will. But then you need to tell me why should we as well.
