The problem is mate, that the devs decided that the IMG should be pro-Kusari, while the IMG| faction decided we should be more pro-Bretonian, due to our bases being there. We seek to loose more if we anger the Bretonians, and seek to gain more by allying with them than if we did the Kusarians.
While saying that, Holman, along with Java, are in the Taus, our main mining spot. If we piss off the Kusarians too much, they'll just storm our bases, take them over, and voila, we're in trouble.
Brief overview of our RP over the last few years:
-Kusari/Bretonian war started, blamed on the IMG while they were doing pretty much nothing.
-IMG realise that they need to stay neutral in the whole thing, Bretonia starts getting aggressive and to calm them down the IMG creates Edict 64.
-The Defence and R&D divisions were created about 20 odd years back, after the main seperation of the Colonials from our bases. Slowly they've been constructing a fleet of ships to combat the outcasts. Taking into reasonable construction periods and resources available I have that fleet as:
Defence fleet:
1x Battleship (WHich we're getting rid of soon)
8x BattleCruisers
20x Gunboats
160x Fighters and Bombers
R&D fleet:
4x Battlecruisers
12x Gunboats
80x Fighters and Bombers
The R&D and Defence departments work apart from each other, and each fleet was constructed in different locations. The Defence fleet was primarily constructed in the Omegas, with Aland Shipyard, while the R&D fleet was constructed in Tau 39, the IMG|'s guard system.
This is NOTHING compared to any major house.
I also came up with rough numbers of pilots:

Not huge numbers, but not tiny either.
That's with a lot of RP and a lot of planning, and it's rather annoying when people ignore the lot of it...

In this conflict, In RP, we are completely neutral, and as far, have remained very quiet about the whole thing. Our Fleet's remain secret.
OORP, we're not going to allow Mining Corp ships to land on our bases, especially after they mine our ore. There is no way for each house to find out what happened to single missing ship, they would just chalk it down to pirates or something.

Seeing as different IMG members from different areas will operate differently, I would suggest a schism has formed in the internal politics of the IMG, and some conflicting incidents have occurred because of it.
Seth, I think you and Igiss and the Devs should have a sit down and hash out a story about this apparent schism and how it will be resolved. I agree that you ought to talk to him privately. *nods*

The trader is not making the profit. Remember he has to split it at least 3 ways. Divide that by 3 and each is making that in profit. Also, thats nearly 45 min to an hour of mining too.
i'll say again it was a one off incident, but last night i moved all our mining fleet back out to leeds and we've made it pretty clear to kishiro| we're not docking at the Hood right now.
but, i'm still going to want something official up about it or should i take an off-topic occ thread as IMG's official position regarding landing rights?
(if anyone else from kusari comes along wanting to do the same, they probably wont search for mining and piracy to find IMG's policy's)
also RP communications about the issue will allow us to work out a deal fair for both sides, rather then "i do not want this happening, dont go there."

Seth's numbers I think are about right IMO, before someone disagrees with them. You just doesn't appear that way because our ZOI is so huge, and these people are all spread out. However, If we focus them all into a concentrated group...
About the RP and Lore stuff people brought up: IMG history, rumours, and even the faction (rep sheet) blurb are all screwed up and contradicts eachother. Currently our pre-history in terms of bases stands like this:
The first IMG base constructed was Cardiff Mining Facility (a rumour says this). The guild then went and built a time machine, went back 60 years in time, and constructed South Sheilds Refinery... Wait.. What?
The entire IMG lore/history needs rewriting, and extra bits and pieces added to make sense/beleive the existing news articles and whatnot. A few members as well as myself are doing this. Why haven't you folks seen anything yet, even though the history part is nearing completion? Well maybe it's because I have been going at university assessment nonstop for like 2 months straight and I don't the time to scratch my own @$$ let alone finishthe damn thing, or write a post on these forums, or even on dev forums for that matter (and beleive me, there's a lot of issues arising there that I MUST attend to, but can't or I'll flunk my final exams that are coming up). The very few times I have posted here in the past months was when I have been fed up with study, and was trying to escape from it. That's getting harder and harder to do now though when things like this come up.
If you folks can just wait 2 weeks - just two bloody weeks - then I can discuss and try to answer anything you throw at me and make the diplomaties that need doing (there's like five of them...). The 15th is the date of my final final exam, and when my uni semester ends. Until then though I cannot and depending on my mood (as quite frankly this game has been frustrating me lately - how can it not, when your list of "things to do in FL" is almost at the bottom of an A4 page, and my writing aint big.) will not answer like I am now. My studies are priority #1, and this game is not even #3 I'm afraid.
Until then, I can say without doubt, that the best case scenario is that Kishiro can dock on the Hood like the Mollys/Hessains do - secretively, under the table and when noobody's looking. When you're getting chased by someone constitutes as somebody looking, so we would kindly refuse those requests to dock.
Again, I stress that that's BEST CASE SCENARIO! I have yet to discuss it with Seth or the other prospective leadership because... Oh lookey here, I haven't been on skype for a little while... and obviously Seth's view differs from mine, and I'd like to hear his reasoning out - might change my stance on this.
