I saw him pirating trader... or how do you call this
Joker: "Drop 1000 cargo and destroy it"
Trader: "Why? You don't want money?"
Joker: " Destroy cargo or i will destroy you"
It was something like that, short version ... i was passing lane while he was talking to poor trader.
I don't find destroying someones money so fairplayish... if he has money he should go for low cargo destroying or little fees or what ever. It seems he don't needs money but that doesn't mean others don't too.
I don't think this is good at all or what he does. Who don't need money here on server? Those who are here for 1000 years and trader whole time... or "cheaters". Everyone else needs some money. And destroying 5x100mil seems stupid if you traded for that weeks or what ever.
Well if you ever watched the second Batman movie, you'd know that the Joker doesn't care for money one way or another. Sure he robs a bank, but that's just to get at the mob. His true aim is more nefarious than simply raking in illegal stacks of cash.
I just cant imagine someone blowing up weeks of labor for nothing. Well its game but you spent precious time on that, <strike>guy must be obsessed with his char or something.</strike> No one <strike>normal</strike> would do it as far as i know. Its RP server but RP shouldn't go this far i think ... eh?
I give money, i earn money, i spend it but nothing gets wasted.
Not sure but there is something annoying me here that i can't explain, sorry
Between all of us we have access to 5 Tridentes out of which never more then 3 are on line and that's just when we fight capital ships which are swarming Liberty and surrounding systems. Now, the ship itself might be compromised due to overuse by the numerous people who find amusement in shooting others up, but this is not the case with us. We don't "gank" to put it that way. We don't shoot on those who are way weaker then us and we manage to find RP justification for not doing so.
We love the ship because of the way it moves (that ensures we don't get killed by some "lolcap") and above all because of it's pitchfork-a-like design which fits into our somewhat diabolic labour.
Which brings me to
@Sead - quoted or not this statement is true: "People of Sirius care too much about the money." We have powertraders (now even powerminers) and powerpirates that feed on them. It's all about having as many credits as possible, buying bigger, stronger ship and so on. That's where Joker's RP fits in perfectly.
@Everybody else
Obviously some of us are not entirely new to this server. As many here we started long time ago (in .84) as complete "noobs", some of us were "powertrading", some "capwhoring" and even "pvpwhoring" (to our shame, but hey there is no point in neglecting our past). From that time we only kept our armours (why not?) and some cash which we decided to burn. And NOT buy more stuff, so go figure. I have to say on my part that I never flew in anything bigger then GB.
We used remnants of our not so glorious past (nobody's perfect) for a fresh start, wowing that we'll never give up high RP standards of Discovery and that we'll use the mistakes that we learned from in the past to our own and community's benefit.
Let's see if those tries are understood, received and welcomed in a proper manner. If we fail, oh well, there are always 2 and 2 only options for all of us here:
Either give up and go play some dumb shoot-'em-up game or
Give it another shot and be persistent in our new beginnings until we find our place under the numerous Sirius' suns.
Fact is that we love this place and game, not for the graphics, not for the fact that it is accessible and free of charge, not for the fact that you can shoot people up - but only because we meet so many great people around. People that make this community what it is, many of whom we became friends with, although we never met them in RL.
Discovery is the "be all you can be" place and many here discover much more about themselves only because of the interaction they have with others.
Since we didn't start this thread and we're still developing our RP I would like to ask moderators and/or Admins to lock it before it becomes feedback thread or something worse. Give us some time and we'll return the favour by giving you the opportunity to tell us more about us, hence helping us to learn more about ourselves, as I stated above.

Sadly, only the OP can request a lock unless something is getting out of hand, which nothing has yet. Most people are commending you on your RP, if not the originality.
I'm not complaining of how you use the Outcast Gunship. I'm just complaining about it. I've come to despise the ship, which has garnered a reputation similar to the Liberty BC, the Corsair cruiser, or the Order Light Carrier -- that of an overly-spammed lolship. And this irks me to no end. Not saying you're using it wrong. Just that it has a reputation that makes my stomach turn every time I see one, RP'd well or not. (That and I think it's an ugly thing to begin with, and well...)

If you'll check this thread, you'll see they did a bang-up job of getting them.
Note to self: Track these guys down and have Omaha say hello.
