Well, pirating in groups is generally more fun, as you have someone to talk to to kill the time while you're waiting. On that note, JOIN THE BUCCANEERS! We're awesome. If you ever plan on pirating in Bretonia, we're a great bunch, so I'd recommend you check us out.

Of course everyone just love to post with purple comic sans so their posts are difficult to read against the default blue forum background.

I hoped that would give me much more interaction with other players.
But so far it has been lots of boring waiting, boring chasing, and getting chased off by bigger badder ships.
What's the secret to making pirating fun?

Yes, pirating can be boring.
... waiting as a result of new trade routes ... don't just hang around ... look for active routes and follow the traders around
... chasing ... probably because most traders don't want to interact with you in any form or fashion ... they're solitary goal in life is to make as much credits as possible in as little time as possible ... they've got their mega-capships to support
... chased off by bigger badder ships ... result of the constant chasing of traders who are only interested in buying these ships. The rules were supposed to rid us of most of this problem. Used to have lots of BHG in mega-caps who'd "hang out" hunting pirates. Used to see 3 of em at a time parked outside unlawful bases to pick us off as we exited. Best bet now-a-days ... don't pirate in house systems.
Oh, really? I'll have you know me 'an my partner have taken out shires with a pair of lightly armed Rogue Gbs (well, we were lightly armed, but those times are past. we got ourselves some more..persuasive weps now)
As to answer the question, I have to agree with the majority. Work ina group. However, I just work with my mpartner. we've become friends, AND we dont have to split the oney so many ways
