She told him of the one time that Kentaro snuck her to Hokkaido to view the clouds there.
"They were beautiful," she commented, "and it was my only trip there."
She then sighed again as she began the story of her brother's death as a look of sorrow and despair crossed her face.
"Kentaro was very good pilot. When no one was with him, he would disappear to fight Corsair and Outcast raiders and return captured pilots for money. He was too good as he was conscripted to fight against Bretonia."
She then looked downward, trying to maintain her composure. After a brief pause, she looked back up, still with her look of sorrow, "Kentaro was killed in the Taus by the Bretonian Navy. At least, we think so. His ship was confirmed destroyed but his body was never found or recovered."
She then sat forward a bit, "The war is foolish and pointless. I go on trade trips with John. When I see what my people do to Leeds, when I visit Port Jackson, I get angry." She then sat back a little and continued, "but no matter how angry I feel, I remember what father teach me that no matter how wrong someone is to you, life too short to hate." She admired the rings on her finger and smiled. Maintaining the smile, she looked to Christopher and remarked, "that is why I choose Zoner life after John show it to me."
She took another sip of her wine, her glass emptied after the last sip. She refused the refill asking for tea instead.
"If you seeking Zoner way, it is difficult at times but we enjoy our peace. Is that why you explore it?"

He listened to every word she said."I don't see much need for that war either Ma'am, the people of Leeds suffer due to their politics. leaving many people homeless and widowed. some wars are just pointless"he sighed taking another sip of his drink."Interesting I've always thought a Zoners life as such a Luxurious one... and compared to some I guess it is."as she asks her question he ponders for a bit. "I don't believe I seek the Zoner way...... I wouldn't fit in any how, most of the time I just explore to get away from my 'home' to regather my sanity and meet a few new people is always interesting. Do you enjoy meeting new people Ma'am?" helent back in the set glancing out at the field every now and again.
As she listened, she found his thinking most intriguing. She was mentally comforted knowing he had similar opinions of the ongoing conflict.
"I hope," she said, "that one day peace is restored. It is the wish of both husband and I."
She then had a look of perplexion. "Do not be sure that you would not fit the Zoner way," she commented, "I never thought I would have either. While father taught me faith in Buddha and not to hate, I work for Gas Miners Guild for a few years, watching Corsair and Outcast kill our people. I knew it was not life for me. I met John when he was trading to build his medical empire. In one trip to what is now our home, I knew his life was my life. While I fly home sometimes, I leave most of what was behind."
She then leaned forward, "I leave it by choice and I not regret it."
She leaned back, "You say you explore. Well, that is what many Zoners do. I think you would fit."
She then looked at him. With a quick smile she added, "you very young. I am not yet mother but I would dare say as one would that someone so young not know what he really wants yet."
She then snickered and smiled again, "yes, I do enjoy meeting people. I have not asked you to leave yet have I? I find you pleasant to talk to."
Still smiling, she took a bite of her sushi.

He waits until she has finished talking."I know what you mean. but its not my life for me. I just wouldn't feel i would fit."he shakes his head."Just wouldn't adjust to that life."he smiled polity taking another sip from his drink."I explore more then just places ma'am and indeed I am young still but I've had to learn a lot of things the hard way already."he places his drink on the table and stretched a little then grabbed his drink again with both hands."I guess so." he smiled cheerfully."If I may ask what is your most favorite space to be in, mine would have to be Hokkaido out of the clouds I found it a a very relaxing sight."
She was convinced that for now at least, Christopher was set in his ways. So for now, she left it alone. She then sat back and thought a moment, "where is my favorite space to be in" she thought aloud. After another moment's thought, she answered.
"It not so much space but a place. When I wake-up at home, my favorite place is drinking morning coffee with John on our front deck, looking over the acreage John set aside for wildlife and his livestock. When we stand arm in arm, drinking our coffee, looking over the dew covered morning grass, I feel safe. I feel at peace. There no place else I want to be."
She then thought a moment, "You seem to know much about me. How about you? What are your dreams? Your desires? I remember when I was your age I wanted more than I could ever get."
She took another bite of her sushi as she awaited.

He smiled as she described her favorite space. "Sounds relaxing. that must be a good life to have." he sits there polity as she goes silent. "You seem to know much about me. How about you? What are your dreams? Your desires? I remember when I was your age I wanted more than I could ever get." He scratched the back of his head nervously "Hmm well... from what I can remember I lived in the omicrons for a while, thought me some valuable lessons out there..... ones I'll never forget. dreams... well I dream of a day where people can sleep easily where they don't have to worry about tomorrow, where they could enjoy the present. Desires.... Well not much really just to have some fun every now and again." He laughs lightly"
A rather young woman struggled a bit with the bouncer. Slightly annoyed would be an understatement...past ten or so minutes the man had been searching her multitude of pockets on her utility jumpsuit, along with patting her down. Tools, trinkets, synthpaste tubes, a couple credit chips and her rep card. Not like that stuff was dangerous, just a lot of it.
"Alright miss, looks like you're all set...go on ahead."
Taking a brief moment, she straightened up her bad posture and crossed her arms.
" 'Bout time...." She grumbled as the man finally let her by. Said bar was the hot spot of the Sigmas these days. Everyone seemed to want to come here and take a nice break...and of course the location brought out some strange characters. 'Sairs, Outcasts, The GMG, Dragons, you name it. Hell everyone but the Wilde seemed to show up...them and the boys from the OSC; who would rather stay on their little liner than come here.
The girl here was none of these of course. The subtle distinctive smell of grease (both engine and edible) and sweat was rather reminiscent of the local salvagers from Yanagi. Though her accent was strictly Libertonian.
She didn't end up getting a drink. Last thing she wanted was to fly out buzzed. Looking over one of the small menus, she did settle on getting a plate of some nachos (not like that'll help her slim down). I'd be a lil' bit before they were ready though...gave her time to check out the view. Not half bad really...she loved nebula clouds (who doesn't?).
A brief burst of laughter caught her attention though. She gave the menu back and got up to check it out. May as well socialize while here, eh?
Christopher Dangen and Midori Holliday just sat and talked for a good while longer, just enjoying causual conversation and some company in a place otherwise full of strangers. With a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service, it was easy to do. But, as with all good things, there conversation had to come to an end. Midori wanted to finish her trek to Honshu and she knew he had plans of his own.
"It was a pleasure, Christopher," she said as she stood up and shook his hand. As an added measure of respect, she bowed. "I must be off. If ever you visit Gran Canaria, visit the Tombstone Estate. You will be welcomed." Grabbing her handbag, she went to pay the bill and then headed for her ship.
Securing the airlock on her ship, she initiated the undocking procedures and headed for Honshu knowing that she would one day meet Christopher Dangen again......somewhere.

"It was a pleasure, Christopher. I must be off. If ever you visit Gran Canaria, visit the Tombstone Estate. You will be welcomed." "Indeed it was ma'am. I shell ma'am. thank you it was a pleasure meet your acquaintance."He stood as she did bowing his head in respect. He watched as she left finishing his drink before doing the same.
Dr. Death moved towards the door and began to enter, but was abruptly halted by several large guards, "All of it. Gone. Now." The Doctor smirked and started to take of his jacket. Several needles and knives were herd clattering against the steel table, "Oh my.. How cruel must a person be to have such.. such.. items?!" The guards looked at each other, then back at the Doctor, "C'mon. all of it." Dr. Death grumbled under his semi-gas mask and then decided to just obey, "Here." he took off all his clothes, besides his undergarments, and gave them to the guards, "There... Now..." he looked at his bodyguards that were several feet behind him, "Which one of you wants to give me your clothes?"
After the Doctor had been fully ridden of his equipment he sat at the nearest couch to the window, drank, and stared outside.
