Geordi sat down as the laughing couple from earlier got up and readied themselves to go. As they wondered out, she found a seat near the windows. Scratching her nose, she took another look at the swirling clouds outside. Very relaxing. Only to be interrupted by a little commotion at the entry way. A man was disarming himself at the door.for lack of a better word really. Now he wastaking off his clothes? She raised an eyebrow at this. Guess they really dont trust that guy.
She turned back around in her seat as a waiter arrived with her plate of chips. She took one, trying to keep the melted cheese on it, and took a bite with a loud crunch. Awkwardly, the same odd man sat down on a couch a few feet away. Geordi just stared for a moment as she crunched the chip inside her mouth.
The Doctor noticed an odd looking character staring at him from a few feet away. A minute passed and the Doctor got up and walked towards her, "Respect for people's privacy please..." He sat back down in his seat and scrutinized the room and the people there, "A very strange bunch indeed..."
"Ummm....hi..." Was all she managed as the man blurted out his statement and again turned back around to his seat. She pretended not to pay him any mind after that but...the guy was suspicious to say the least. Plus, not like there were many other interesting people here.
Chuckling under her breath a bit, she leaned back in her seat and threw her feet up onto the table. She took another cheese covered chip from the plate. Her mind wandered a bit as she thought of what kind of price that cargo crate she found would catch...a Freeport is a good a place as any for trade after all.
The young man from just before re-entered the bar after being searched, looking a little more frustrated then he did when he first walked in, he ran his hand down his face as he scanned the room for a available table. seeing one behind a woman with feet on the table, he hesitantly made his way over to the seat siting down. taping his fingers on the desk he muttered to himself."How in the heck does someone crash into a my ship in a docking bay."
""Eh...that does not sound good." She mumbled through her full mouth. She took her feet down off the table and leaned forward towards the man.
"Listen, um, I don't think I did it....but...what ship was yours again?" Embarrassingly she managed a weak smile.
"I can fix anything busted on 'er anyways. I know a thing or two about starships after all." She grinned a rather cocky grin. Not like she's lying, she is a mechanic after all. But then again, even if she was the best this side of Liberty, who trusts Junkers anyways? Especially this close to Kusari. Worth a shot, no doubt there.
He used index finger and his thumb to rub his eyes. "Ma'am if it was you.... you would have to have a bounty hunter ship.... and still be stuck in it while I flushed it back into space." He'd take a deep breathe as she spoke to him again. "Ma'am if you could fix my ship you would be five million richer. Do you have any experience with advanced fighters?"
She pulled at her collar a bit as the man blurted out death threats against the Hunter or Merc who hit his ship earlier on. Wonder if everyone on the edge of space was this....edgy.
"Uh...y-yeah, I can certainly take a look and see what I can do."
Then the payment came up. Five million...that was a deal. The deal of the year at least. She smiled.
"Well now lad. Of course I do. I have seen my fair share of the insides of all types of engines. Repaired hull plate damage...Heck I even was a janitor for a ways back so I can clean it...for a tad extra of course."
"We'll see. I'm now late for my meeting I was apost to have, so there will be no time for cleaning it. -He'd grin a little bit-But it you make it a speedy repair. I am sure I can change that five to a bigger number."He'd rub his face then resting his hand on his mouth.
*I wonder if they will back stab me like the others have, Meh...... I am sure I could dispatch this one before they can scream.*
He'd extend his hand out to her to finish the deal."Names Christopher."
"Well I don't mean to keep you here any longer than you have to be. Just lemme know what ship I should be looking at and I'll go and take a look in a minute."
The man smiled a moment as he offered a larger sum. Pay more for a faster job, eh? Not a bad deal...then again, not seeing the problem with the ship yet could prove to be an issue. Not to worry...hopefully. The man motioned for a handshake.
"Pleasure to meet you. Name's Geordi Forbes." She gave him a quick firm handshake, smiling as she gave her name.
"You want me to get down there right away then?" She ate another chip.
As she had finished speaking he thought for a bit.*No way am I leaving her in there alone, probably try and steal a few things.*"I'd have to show you. I'm a little protective of my property so I'd have to show you."he'd wave the waiter over placing a order for a meal. "Have you worked with advanced systems before..... such as Liberty security force?" He'd look at her oddly as he asked the question.
