Oh, by the way, and slightly off-topic, the Spatial sucks in combat. Offering your Spatial as an escort of any sort is not going to result in you being taken seriously. An average VHF pilot can take one down without losing a bat. How do I know? Because I'm a mediocre pilot at best and can do so.
I see. My miners will need to keep an eye open for each other. My IMG is an independent crazy miner,
but my Kruger runs a smooth operation on the Omegas.
I was asking about the Spatial because on the Mining system it says to get bonus on mining the Spatial is one of the ships to be operated by Kruger
yeah, technically on the spatial info card it says that its a "Civilian Deep Space Explorer" but the IMG pretty much claims ownership of the Spatial, seeing as how the only place to buy it is on Java Station, and IMG are on unfriendly terms with kruger minerals...
might be a little wierd seeing a Kruger ID person land on an IMG base, and leave with a Spatial, know what i mean?
so honestly, i dont think kruger should be flying them as it seems a bit OORP, but i suppose there's nothing really holding you back from doing so.
but if you are caught by the IMG doing so, expect repercussions...
Hmm... this is an interesting, delicate and confusing matter, due to the points already pointed out in this thread..
The relations between Kruger and the IMG aren't so swell, with the IMG having many ex-kruger and Daumann workers that were fed up with those companies' bad bad working conditions.. I wouldn't say we are enemies but definately unfreindly to eachother.. I always thought that the Spatial and other IMG ships were hence considered not to be used by Kruger, but I haven't been active for quite some time until recently due to my university studies - a lot has changed rules, mod and more recently, server-wise..
I personally wouldn't use the Spatial if I were a Kruger - If you ran into another IMG they proby wouldn't be very happy.. Plus, as others have said the Spatial is a bismal fighter to PvP in. Only a few people can pilot it well enough to scrape some kills, and if you come up against someone that's a good fighter pilot you'll be hopelessly outclassed. If that happens it all just comes down to luck (aka mashing the drop mines button and hope you kill them somehow with minespam).
Where does it say that Kruger can use the Spatial? I'd like to find out the reasons behind it being listed as such...
Probly as it stands and without further information to go by, a Kruger Spatial will be a very rare uccurance. It's would be hard enough to find someone wiling to sell you a Spatial, and even after that, I'd expect inRP that Kruger personnel would think IMG ships and equipment are inferior to anything they can make/procure from their own resources..
P.S. - Please don't go off of the IMG page in the Disco Wiki. It's utterly screwed up and requires a complete overhaul.. I know I've said this heaps of times now but hopefully I'll fix it up sometime soon. Perhaps I need to find one of these to help speed up the process..
With the mineral resources of Dresden running exhausted Kruger Minerals has turned its attention fully to its fringe world stakes of copper, cobalt and silver located within Omega 7. However, with the removal of diamonds from the corporate portfolio the extraction of the Omega 7 minerals has granted a considerable bonus in yield for those resources over it Daumann counterpart, marking them as the leading producer of the same in the Sirius sector.
Hmm.. well, from what I see, the Spatial's probly in that list because it is called a "civilian" ship, thats sold everywhere in Sirius.. That though doesn't mean that the chances, or willingness of a Kruger employee in RP to have a Spatial is very high..
I'd personally go with the basalt/dactite/mafic ships to avoid "wut the.." remarks from other people, and prevent possible ooRP ship/ID sanctions from those report-happy players out there.. Ultimately though it's up to you though..
That list is something that Dusty made, so I'd say that as such it's ok to use it for the time being. Please note though that I will be enquiring him about this, and it may ultimately be changed... (I'll see if he can post a final word about it in this thread too)
