After Commander D'Souza left Lounge, Jack stayed in there, just standing still, his eyes looked blank, his view was pointed straight looking in one of the metal walls...for a moment he remembered his Ensigns days....it was long time ago...And then quickly snaped back to reality as he heard Christopher's voice saying "Drinks on me". "Bahh, what am I doing, those pilots are looking me like I am losing my mind" he said to himself so no one could heard it, and walked to Chris's table as he noticed he is sitting alone. "Hello there Christopher, nice to finally see you around here again. Hard times out there, ehh"
Christopher would look up at Admiral Jack Osborne nodding slightly."Indeed it is my old friend, please have a seat, it may even boost our fellow pilots moral to see an Admiral still willing to drink amongst them."He'd smile removing his black cloak putting it on the seat next to him."So how has things been?"
"Ahh, thank you, I haven't been here for long time, feels kinda ackward, but nothing has changed a lot, yes Vice Admiral rank brings some privilages, but also some deficiency. In some way I miss my Ensigns days, ehh.
I would be here more often, I don't feel different now and when I was just ensign" Jack pauses a bit...he is not completely sure is that true...but continues to speak " but now there are some matters which concern me much more then while I was just ensign. Ohh man it feels so long time ago" Jack knows Chris is a good friend, so he can speak freely with him, which might not be the case for some other higher ranked people. "So, we are holding pretty good I think, some problems are always poping out, but we are dealing with them." Jack ends his sentence feeling he said enough for now.
He'd nod listening to every word his old friend said."Indeed its good to know we are still going strong, even though there my be a few deserters, I don't miss my ensign days that much, all I remembered was getting stuck on patrol by myself while I had Bounty hunters coming from all directions, even from some I didn't know existed."He'd laugh a bit watching his friend take his seat."Things seem to shift now don't they my friend. It seems things we once knew and the people we knew are changing."He'd take a drink from the cup."Man that's strong stuff." He'd smile officering the spare drink he had gotten, as he knew some one would join him.
"Ahh, I am afraid you are right, Chris, lot's of people changed or left this place, I kinda miss some of them, we started here around same time, so they were first people with which I got known, and the first with who I flied".
He pauses a bit as the first person which he remembered was Rand Seith...."Anyway, you are right" and he continues" ensign days had it's charms but less responsibility, less stress, only one job to do: follow orders, that is what I liked". He smiles a bit, when he remembers applying for Order|, first flights as ensign, and where did he got now. "Good drink by the way", he says as he tried drink which Chris offered him.
He took a glass of wine from the bartender and moved to his usual corner place. He saw then, that it was already occupied. Two persons were discussing, one was Dangen.
He smiled briefly, and sat down just a bit off from them.
He'd smile holding up his cup."Indeed it is, Heres to the departed and departing officers."He'd spot Freisener walking in as he picked up his glass he grined as he sat down. "Come and have a drink with us Freisener."
Christopher would nod slightly seeing his friend sit down."Its good to see some of my old friends again."He'd take a drink from the cup becoming more accustomed to the taste, he'd set the cup down on the table "I hear you've gone up in ranks since I've been gone these past couple months.".He'd look towards Freisener addressing him as he does. He'd look to see if he was carrying any weapons.
"Not only the war with Rheinland...but it is the war iam thinking about...and what the price for such kinds of war have to be payed." Ciana replied and her view retourned into the here and now. "The most people think that are clean wars...just two armies against each other...but such a clean war doesn't exist...and will never exist...there will always be innocent casualties...someone once said...we fight wars until no Human is left....he was right...too right." Ciana's voice sounded sad at the last words she spoke. "Have you ever been in a real war?" she wanted to know from him
