Tell em you pay 1/3 now, 2/3s upon successful delivery of a full load of ore.
I found this new rule very strange as well...
Is a certain type of piracy considered lawful now?
Me and three more miners were pirated and shot down by a pirate with Miner ID and full war mounty. He had no mining laser so he certainly did not intend to mine.
Some people went after him and almost blew him up. Then the LSF came to sort it out. He ordered him to release the cargo or face the consequences.
Well... the pirate just calmly landed on Philadelphia Station and then disconnected, since he is considered a lawful and slips under the radar.
So these pirates can move freely without having to face any justice anywhere, they can also land on any base they wish and they can pirate anyone they like... Doesn't sound like a good RP decision to let that go through.
No need to go "stop whining about pirates". I have learned now that this server is very pirate friendly and every time gameplay questions of this nature comes up the traders and miner will just have to settle with that the pirates decides what happens.
But I voice my opinion and I think this rule is very bad. It gives certain pirates an advantage of playing unlawful while being considered lawful...
People mention stuff like corruption and such, does that mean it would be equally acceptable that one choose to play as a Police and start pirating people in need. Why should one ID be allowed to pirate freely without loosing it's legal status?
Does that mean that a bounty hunter could go after any Miner he want, because miners are probably pirates? Or are these pirates allowed amnesty while continuing pirating?
Of course lawfuls can blow up any pirate they see pirating. But that's not the problem... People are allowed to fly around in ships on mining ID's, not equipped for mining and pirate freely and still be considered lawful miners. Their status is lawful.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
I just checked my DSE ID, online. I can't pirate for ore. DSE cannot carry out unlawful actions except against Rheinland lawfuls. Dusty mentioned when the server was down that a FLHook command puts the line permitting ore piracy into the ID. That does not appear to be the case just now, though - he said he'll see about getting it re-added.
Can we lock one of the two or three threads where this exact same conversation is taking place. People are just reposting the same thing in different threads. I have lost interest in this discussion due to that as well.
Good day, hope everyone enjoys the drastic drop in mining profitability.
Zelot, we all know, or should have known, that trading is supposed to be the only way, and that anything else MUST suck. if it dosent, we kill the status quo.
