It encourages pvp because the victory is real, you literally destroyed someone's ship. Also, it makes it expensive to do lolwut pvp for the purpose of nothing constructive. Finally, it encourages teamwork for everyone.

I do play EVE. This is not EVE. You can't pvp in a 100mil isk ship and make that up in a day. People don't come to FL to ruin people's day. (*Usually)

absolutely rite which is while we'll see a lot of fighter/bomber pvp compared to cap ships.
