Quote:The Spatial is often employed by members of the Independent Miners Guild for exploring the asteroid fields of the Taus and Omegas. Larger than most fightercraft the Spatial packs nearly the same punch as some military bombers, but its real attributes are to be found in the extended pilot bay and full sized geological survey suite that is the hallmark of this far ranging vessel.

In theory, the thing is not an IMG ship, in the wiki is classified as a Civilian explorer. Would you think a corsair who is acting as a support ship, bearing a SN and shieldbusters be able to use such? And try not to go to the "Factions should use their own shipline" bull, please, I have no time for that.

I think it is fine, it is a civi ship. Xeno's sell it too, for some reason.

Here's the next one:

It is sold on an IMG base to which the Corsairs are hostile. But, should the RP be limited to In game limintations, because the ship is not sold on a civilian base.

Hmm, interesting question, although I dont think IMG and Corsairs are rep ninja'd hostile, but in rp, you could ask the CR for it, as they are friendly with the Corsairs. Some will remember the Corsairs using the Tiger shark for a while there in 4.84........not sure how that one turned out. Anyway, thats to say its not without precedent.

They were pretty well crucified by the community for using the TigerShark instead of their bugged LF(s), which touched off a firestorm of "You should use your faction's ships only" arguments.

That was more the debilitators, I thought.

And everyone blamed Zelot for it. He was the one who got sanctioned for something that Majkp started off ...

PS: What does it say here? http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tYh...amp;output=html

Aside from that, the sanction was overturned, and the Corsairs were allowed by the Admins to fly the Tiger Shark.

Spatial is civilian now, and there's plenty of well-documented cases of unlawfuls using civilian ships which can only be purchased on lawful bases. Buy point is less important than other things.

Admin ruling, see Kuraine's post. (or, if you're lazy, it agrees with Drake.)

As an Outcast, I fully support Corsair usage of the Spatial. It's one of the few targets I can reliably hit. :laugh:Really, though, I don't see any RP issue that would prevent it. Would it be unlikely, rare, maybe mocked in-character? Sure, but it's possible.

Well nah, I got a 'sair freighter instead. Went online for the lulz, made 6mil by escorting a trader or two in a starflyer by taking the lane before them.

/restart corsair

profit and got some good RP with...HAF o.o

And all less than in two hours.
