[Neanderthals]-Kronky is my friends ship but he aint on the forum so i feel i that i shall discuss
this one in his place.
And also for the fact that i myselfe own a ship that are using the same setup (nenaderthals Bronk).
And in so doing must also be wrong acording to fitting RP/ID/Ship.
I just paste in our story/guidelines here so you can post back as to what ship/ships and ID that
is the most suited. That way we can prevent us from choosing wrong (again). (thou ''wrong'' is always
differently defined as to whom you might ask:))
Hope you have time to read it.
Some of the poor people who was left for dead at primus did prove some resiliance
towards radiation, and manage to live in small groups across the planet. With some
slight inbreed and monkeys as the mainly trade partner and neighbor. These folks
slowly deteriorated towards becoming neanderthals. Many advanced ships and facilities
was left across the planet. And it was not until around year 800 that a large group of neanderthals stumbled upon a ship building facility, but with primitive mind they
could not really understand it. They indeed manage to make a somewhat flyworthy
vessel. After this the word spread fast across the planet and other groups flooded towards the
old planetside dockyard. This was the start of the first and only neanderthal city. As more
and more ships was built, all of the neanderthals manage to work more and more together
in their hunt/search planetwide for old metals and engines to use in their shipbuilding at the harbor. Around 16to 18 years later the once proud survivors of planet primus (now neanderthals) did once agains figure out that their planet was not everything when a young
pilot by mistake thrusted his ship upwards instead of forwards and flew out of the planets atmosphere. He was stunned for atleast 2 hours before realizing that all the rest of his people must know of this aswell. And soon one could notis a small and insicnificate rise of unknown ships flying around planet primus, and it would not be to long before they dared ventureing further.
Neanderthals dont have a leader and is more operating around the fact that what most want to do, they do. They gain unity by the fact that many (if not all) neanderthals goals are roughly the same. Do exciting stuff, eat, borrow things and dont return them, claim to be king/Emperor/President and help other neanderthals in their goals. As a resoult of this a crew of neanderthals onboard a ship might have alot of kings and presidents represented and will
try to steal stuff that can be used to build ships for others neanderthals (aka. help family, well most of them are related in someway). Or they will get stuff for food, not always things that truly can be eaten, or borrow nice looking things and (in most cases) dont return them.
A neanderthal engineer: A very technical gifted person (who also might call himselfe emperor) manage often by pure luck or instict to make things work, thou he often lack any astetic skills, thus making neanderthal ships very ugly to look at (or beeing inside).
The Neanderthal language, is like very poor english with many gibberish words or
guttural sounds. Thou it might sometimes at rare occations be very good, but then often just a sentence or two (very rare thou).
Population: Hard to tell with many roaming around on planet primus, and even in their city they dont know since neanderthals aint that good at counting and more often than not count many people more than once, or fortgetts an entire city block or something else important.
Diplomacy: Entierly depends on the mood the crew are in, but it shall be know that they sometimes can be misled or decived by smarter beeings. It has happend more than once that a
crew in the mood for food has went out searching ships to take it from, and returned without
anything, just saying that the ship PROMISED to come by here with the food later. Thou this happens less as more and more neanderthals has encounterd lying, but as said now and then it happens.
Ships: Slave liner, Salvager, Recycler, Spatial and Moldy Crow. As these look somewhat shabby and piced together. Thou it shall be noted that non of these within the neanderthal ranks has anything to do with junkers. As neanderthal vessels are build from scratch (or from old ship skeletons) at the neanderthal planetside dock on primus.
Neanderthal City: Name Aah, due to the neanderthals saying aah when first seeing the old drydock port, and nowdays saying aah when they have lived out on primus and comes to see the city for the first time.
The city is located nearly on the far side of the planet from the location of the monkey port and docking ring. But as the monkeys posseses the only working docking ring at the moment, neanderthals are forced to either use the monkey one and fly in the air to their own port. Or traverse the dangerous atmosphere without a docking ring, this happens sometimes. Thou it often resoulting in the ship beeing damaged or forced to crash land.
(Not that one can tell a newly built ship and a recently poorly repaird crash landed ship from apart)
Currently the neanderthals know only of kappa and tend to stay close to primus or atleast within the system. But it might only be a matter of time before they figure out how to make use of a jumphole and then all neighboring systems might see a lost neanderthal or two.
I reported Evil_Wiking. I spotted him in Peurto Rico, and my junker Guard IFF ship hailed him.No answer,so i aprouched, and scanned. He had NO ID when i scanned him. Tried to tell him in Private he needs an ID. Still no answer. At this point No ID, no IFF, no response. I ordered weapons hot,and attacked. He fired back, then docked at a junker base and logged off.
Where the Pirate ID came from? must have got it a little later.
Now your story? It is interesting, but the Salvager, and Recycler state they are JUNKER ship's only. Not civi, or a faction that share's.
It's a shame the most scrappy looking ships are restricted like this.
As for pvp you can see that we with choosing salvager counted this
far out of our goal. 6 turrets with 5 back or 5 forward, large target
and only transport shield (not to mention the fact that it does NOT
posses a CD).
So if i understand this correctly, we can either ditch the junker ships
that we saw fit for our RP, or we can go on as we are but just change
to junker ID. Or hope for special ID
(As for your encounter in puerto rico i can do nothing but say that im sorry
for that experience. Maby not my friends brightest hour while setting up his char)
If we use junker ID we are totaly within the rules, but it might not seem so appropriate.
(awaits joe so he can share his thoughts on this one aswell)
[damn flew into a planet while alt-tabbing down and writing] hehe:)]
