Not everyone has a good computer. Me? I'm running on my internal chip right now because my graphics card causes it to freeze. It can barely handle looking at nebulas or having a flaming ship on my screen.

I don't think so... The rendering is done client side, so I can't see that taking up any more server power than it does at the moment. (Correct me if wrong).
Meh, I think that the Mortar and Heavy mortar (long with most of the other antimatter splosions) are really, over the top. Well, not the things smaller than the Mortar, but it and the Heavy mortar's explosions really can reach larger than the ships themselves.
Besides, I like the pieces of the ship leftover like vanilla instead of the debris going everywhere thing, and it that video, there's a whole load of the junk...

And yeah, DO WANT!
The graphical rendering is done clientside, but all the little objects that make up the debris, all the physics for those objects occur serverside, in the video I counted about 16 of them, so instead of just having to track one object (the player controlled ship, that is relatively simply to track as it has engines) the server now has to track 16 free floating objects.
