The Freya is Rheinland battleship under flag of Zoner Guard. Currently under command of captain Christian Burton. Freya’s objective is to maintain status-quo in Zoners area and protect freeports from potential threat of The Coalition, Nomads, The Wilde and others.

Bismarck-class ship initially was designed as „pocket“ battleship for Border Worlds; it was intended for patrolling of dangerous areas under the cover of fighters wing. When Daumann Heavy Construction who was contracted to build this ship started construction in 797A.S., contractor The Military recalled project for review. For the reason of loss of contact with patrol which consisted of several ships including battleship “Atlantis”, The Military laid additional claims to project: sturdier armor, more powerful reactor, improved target-locking and tracking abilities and improve other performance characteristics wherever possible. DHC reworked project basing on these claims and gave it new name, “Rhein”. New “Rhein”-class ship is based on “Bismarck” class, but has several improvements. Freya is first ship of this class. In 800 A.S. during war with Nomads its construction was resumed. Civil and war ships started to disappear, martial law has been put in force. In 801 A.S. due to lack of funding and problems with material logistics project “Rhein” was put on hold at 72% progress, ship was sealed and towed (there were some problems with ship engines) to Frankfurt jump gate. When martial law has been put out of order in 802 A.S., battleship has been towed back to Order Shipyard to finish construction. 802 A.S. First test run using own engines, no problems were detected. 803 A.S. Ship has been stately launched. Ludwig Muller was assigned as Admiral.

803 A.S. due to dangerous problem related to Red Hessians and other unlawful, Freya was assigned to Dresden system. 2 cruisers Altena, Werl and fighter wing were covering it.
808 A.S. Wreck of Atlantis battleship was found in Omega-15 system. Salvaging team successfully found black box. After decrypting its contents, experts told that patrol was devastated by Corsairs patrol which consisted of dreadnought and four cruisers. Atlantis wasn't able to contact HQ as transmitters were hit first.
812 A.S. Agents reported that Corsairs were making preparations for invasion in Rheinland. Freya was relocated into deeps of Omega-15 to support stationary battleship Schwerin. Its mission was to patrol area between 3B and 5F sectors.

12:24 (New Berlin timezone) Admiral Ludwig Muller dispatches cruiser Altena and fighter wing for recon ops.
12:48 Recons reports contact in 6C sector, transmitting image of enemy fleet to Freya; experts report that it consists of dreadnought, four cruisers, six gunboats and 12 fighters/bombers. Recons were ordered to return into Freya's dislocation.
13:10 Freya fleet is regrouping in 5D sector. Reinforcements consisting of six bombers arrive from Schwerin.
13:32 Freya fleet is ready for engagement and approaches enemy on intercept course.
13:50 First volleys are fired from Freya. Capital ships focus fire on dreadnought.
14:20 Werl takes is severely damaged by dreadnought. Reactor fluctuations are reported.
14:21 Werl disappears from radar. SOS signal was received.
14:40 Two enemy gunboats collided during maneuvering, one was destroyed, other received critical damage and was forced to leave system through jump hole Omega-41.
15:06 Rheinland bomber wing destroys Corsair cruiser and returns to assist Freya. Werl takes too much damage and disappears in explosions.
15:30 Enemy's cruisers focus fire on Freya's engines. Freya is drastically damaged.
16:04 Corsair dreadnought takes critical amount of damage, but is still able to move. It's forced to slowly leave battlefield, leaving three cruisers and remaining bombers to fight with Freya. Freya has heavy problems with propulsion systems, it's not able to move.
16:45 Explosion. Freya destructs due to many-hour fight. Engines are teared of the main hull. Cannons stop firing. Engineering team tries to run secondary power plant. Enemy cruisers focus fire on Altena.
17:06 Bombers destroy enemy cruiser. It explodes. Freya loses contact with Altena, it rotates around its axis. Engineers suppose that its control system is malfunctioning.
17:20 Freya's crew managed to run power plant. Weapon systems lock already damaged cruiser and it's gone in a volley.
17:21 Survived cruiser is forced to retreat through Omega-41 jump hole. Enemy bombers try to approach to Freya and finish it. Lower Freya's deck are on fire.
17:40 Altena is brought back into operation. Enemy bombers retreat.

[font=agency fb]Reconstruction
813 A.S. Freya wreck remains on battle site, guarded by fighter patrols to prevent pillage. Experts group has been dispatched to check state of the ship. The Military hopes to restire ship with little to no costs; experts disprove these hopes: ship is heavily damaged, 84% of electric infrastructure is destroyed, primary power plant completely wiped, reactor is unstable, hull integrity is infringed, armour is full of huge shot holes. Battleship front was fractured due to battery ammo explosion. Estimated cost required to restore battleship was as huge as required for construction of new one. The Military couldn't afford it due to lack of funds, Freya was abandoned in Omega-15. Zoners was interested in this ship - it would symbolize Zoner's independence. Rumors have been settled that lots of Zoners were trading through Omega-15. Everybody knows that Rheinland battleship is the most powerful warship in Sirius Sector. Zoners were planning to construct new Zoner Juggernaut to support their status-quo in Zoner Space, but as it was an extremely expensive project, congress preferred to restore Freya remnants. Zoners contact Rheinland Military as Freya is still their property. Military leaders were surprised by this request: it was first time somebody asks to buy a battleship. Commitee has been called to discuss this request. After several discussions comittee decided to sell battleship to Zones for 160.000.000 credits and its design plans for 40.000.000. Cost of engineers which were taking part in the ship development also was included in cost of the ship. Ministry of war dispatches them to Livadia Shipyard to assist Zoners with battleship restoration.
814 A.S. 200 millions were deposited into The Military's account. Zoners immediately dispatched group of tugsips, guarded by two destroyers and wing of fighters. 2 weeks ago Freya arrives to Livadia Shipyard. Wreck sites of two cruisers and dreadnought were found in Omega-41 which were most probably destroyed by Red Hessians. Active phase of restoration work started. Engineers start to remove damaged armor plates from Freya.
816 A.S. Ship integrity has been restored. Electronic and mechanical equipment which was damaged is removed from the ship. Small amount of weaponry survived the blast, it's demounted and tested for safety. DHC engineers set up and tune new nuclear reactor, which is more efficient than previous one which used uranium-235, plutonium-239 or plutonium-241 as fuel. By the end of 816 A.S. All electronic and mechanical systems of ship are operational, reactor is ready for operation too, armor is fortified with CAU VIII. Iliving conditions were improved — Zoners are not used to live in such spartanian conditions. They kept Rheinland decoration of rooms though.
817 A.S. First test flight of Freya after reconstruction works. Reactor is stable, power plant provides energy without fluctuations, full orbit around Tirane planet has been completed without any problems. Freya returns to Livadia shipyard.
818 A.S. Ship is ready, weaponry is mounted. First battle tests occur to check navigation systems, ability of reactor, power plant and secondary power plant to sustain extreme loads, Tests were almost passed, but there were minor failures in operation of primary power plant. Freya heads to Livadia shipyard to eliminate this flaw.
818 A.S. Freya reconstruction is finished and it's launched on Livadia shipyard. Christian Burton is assigned as ship captain. Zoners was called to discuss name of new ship. They decided to keep ship name in honor of fallen personnel in savage battle.
