No, the answer is yes, we should get these weapons because we didn't attack Liberty or Bhs but they attacked us and what? We should give up our weapons and surrender? I don't think so. The closest thing to terrorists here are the Liberty Navy and the BHs and next time look up into your dictionary or wikipedia for terrorist and then compare what we do and what terrorists do.

Dennis- I don't know if you ever saw a Order vs Nomad fight: There is no 1 on 1 now because it's nearly impossible for 1 Nephy or Bastet to kill it because of it's agility; it's not the weapon power it's all about, it's the weapon hit rating I mean you can't hit a Nomad unless his PvP skills are on 0. My point is that even a complete N00B flying a Nomad morph or fighter could easily overwhelm any other colonist fighter.

Well it's a good thing that there are so few Nomads around and so many, many, maaaaaaaaaa-any of you then, isn't it?

The Nomads have superior weapons for the same bloody reason the Phantoms do: Because they get ganked a lot.

These weapons aren't superior. They are a bit different then we all are used for.. they have higher hull damage then others but if we cant get shields down you are safe from them. Everything have its + and - side.

Maybe someone will later copy these plans somehow and make new class of weapons specialized for hull only and not damaging shield at all.

Freelancer shouldn't have just tiny updates and new versions with same stuff all over again. We could use new type of weapons.. new type of ships ( At least visual part.. Jinx made one good Liberty ship that looks "advanced"). Maybe its time for technology in Sirius to move forward a bit. Starting from Order.. Liberty Navy.

We need to forget "It doesn't look Freelancerish" part. So what.. everything changes.

this is cool signature

Which are class 10. You telling me my HF just has to suck up the fact that it'll never bite anyone?

Order guns just need to be made more efficient, particularly the death's hands. Damage isnt bad, but they cost too much energy.

Nomad weapons are based on efficiency - even the "humanized" nomad guns cost very little energy to fire, that's their strength. I would think that The Order would copy that strength into their own weaponry when reverse-engineering nomad tech, it makes sense for order weapons to be efficient to similar levels.

Death's hands are fun to use, but they suck your energy dry far too quickly.

I've never really liked the Order weapons. I use a mix of nom noms and codes.

Because They are ALIENS. More ADVANCED.. They Were created By the DK? The Advanced race that created them.

I seem to remember reading part 1 of this quite a while ago.

I seem to remember your ideas being pretty much exactly the same.

So, what's changed?

That does seem fair enough. But then I'm sure the Order won't just use those weapons against the Nomads, but against the BHG and Liberty as well. So then, by the same logic, the BHG and Liberty will develop such technology also? Then by that same regard, Rhienland will as well, etc etc until all of Sirius is using these weapons.

I don't see how RP is a justification to achieve better weapons for PvP. Use what you got, or don't use it at all. (see: codenames)

The BHG's fighter weaponry is already better than what the order has, compare buckshots to either reapers or death's hands - more damage, more efficient, more accurate.

Besides, the BHG and Liberty dont exactly have the same access to nomad tech that the order does.

I don't know how really bad your Order guns are but:

Quote:Improved (Imp.) Reaper - Class 9

Hull damage per shot: 850
Shield damage per shot: 60
Range: 700 meters
Projectile velocity: 650 meters per second
Good against: Molecular shields
Average against: Graviton shields
Weak against: Positron shields
Rate of fire: 3.03
Energy use: 156

Is stronger than the best 3.03 Codename in the game.

The Hull damage vs Energy Efficiency is off the charts!

Same goes for that 5.33 gun.
