Caps are weak enough as they are (read: 2 Barghests take on an LABC and win without doubt), they don't need to be nerfed any more.

Lets not. Lets cut bombers down to size instead. How about we get rid of the SNAC completely and give something caps can acutally defend against other than strafing? But we know that wont happen because 90% of devs/admins are bomberwhores. Tear.

masternerdguy, what you fail to grasp, is that caps SUCK . If they became official faction or SRP only, they would REALLY need a buff. as they are now, they are balanced in respect to their avaliblity.

Cap ships aren't supposed to be easy to take down. They are supposed to be a deterrent and IMO, more of an RP platform to that end.

Not sure I totally agree with only player factions using them. Some indies use them smartly and with good RP and SRP. I do think groups that build them should limit their sale. Zoners do it as do the BHG and Outcasts limiting indy pirates with their ships.

Who started all this anyways? They DO NOT need to be restricted. This is evidenced by the failured other attempts to restrict caps.

1. Gaurd ID's.

2. Placing Cap Ship selling points on Guard Bases.

3. Doubling capital ship prices from 4.82 to 4.85 (progressivley getting higher and higher in the versions in between).

Caps are hilariously understrength as it is against bombers/fighters.


When a group of VHFs are capable of taking down cruisers/BCs with ease you know the balance is screwed up.

Actualy a BC is even easier, unless all solaris, because they cant dodge as well as most crusiers even AND lack a thruster.
