To answer the question about odd window placement, and I've gotten this before about the windows that wrap around the top of the hall, when I made it I figured there would be cargo in the ships itself. Two smaller cargo holds, one in the forward section and on in the aft. The big Cargo Pod in the center is meant for the most valuable equipment and can be jettisoned or drop in the atmosphere for emergency in field deployment. An Instant command center or army of vehicles dropped where you want it. So there isn't that much living space, but they need to use every square inch available to them including the roof. So the crew compartments are wrapped around the ships hall and around the secondary cargo areas.
I get a distinct feeling of low definition; I venture to blame the texturing. It's messy and undisciplined, in my opinion, as evident in screen 178 especially.
In addition, there are a few awkward seams.
I like the model, but I think you could do a far better job with the textures.

Er, 95% of all ships modeled nowadays are for places besides Liberty. They don't really have that much of a lead, assuming a standard line is LF, HF, VHF, Bomber, Freighter, Transport, Supertransport, GB, Cruiser, BS;
Liberty [3] - VHF(Avenger), Carrier, BC
Rhineland [3] - Superbomber, SHF. Freighter(Ragnar)
Bretonia [2] - HF(Paladin), Shire
Kusari [2] - GB(Explorer), Akegata (however you spell it)

That seems to be a pretty good rendering. I wouldn't mind piloting something like this. I would limit the hardpoints to mostly anti-fighter/bomber turrents, maybe with one or two heavier turrents for GB's.
