' Wrote:Thank you for the explanation, Sina. It really clears up a lot, and I apologize to you and the rest of the Anarchists for my behavior against you OORPly. However, one question remains in my mind. If the Arabic/Middle Eastern names are just codenames, as it appears you have said, where does the "yalalalalalala" fit in? Or is it purely to add to the air of mysteriousity and the Scary Pirate Factor?
EDIT: Might I suggest opening a faction description thread as a reference to those in the future who are confused as to who the Anarchists are? It could be useful in the long run, if the group intends to stay around as the Anarchists.

There is absolutely no role-play background for the "Yalalala" and I'm not going to sit here and lie to you. Instead I will simply say that my members wishes to express such statement as they launch themselves into battle and I won't try to decide for them what they can and can't say as their "battle cry".
It would be like David Hale saying that all [LN] pilots are hereby banned from saying "Locked n' loaded" before they engage in combat.
Finally I will not open a faction thread or anything of the similar, if you have more questions simply PM me or post here. But there won't be a thread that will end up similar to the one of Albion Guard.
Quickie, what's with the Arabic codenames like you said? I don't recall the Corsairs ever having any Arabian descent, so where did you pick 'em up from?
corsairs are partial descendants of greeks. thats not really far from turkey, for example. people with turkish origin, names and culture might be failry common in greece, and thus could be on the sleeper ship. np.
i wouldnt be surprised if people of arabic origins were on the rheinland, tbh. or the liberty, for that matter.

Some people forgot everyone lives everywhere in the world these days and even more in the futhure.
So people from the middle-east could have been in de Bretonia, Rheinland, Liberty, Hispania, Gallia,...
Kusari Not that much people migrate to there right?
Anyway in the futhure we will have everyone living everywhere.
Ofcourse some of these people could get into the higher ranks to gain a place inside one of the sleeper ships.
---------------
Although about the religion part...
When people talked about christians everyone was like:
Noh that would be long forgoten so far into the futhure.
So I suggest the same with any other earthly religion.
Lets keep it to Freelancer religions only. Nomads, cardie, artifacts etc.
This will remove any further conflicts.
And the "Yalalalala" is like "Whoenononoee... from Age of empires xD

WE are the Anarchists, our agenda is our own but it's damn sure not bound by some faith. There is no superstitious ideology.
This is reality at its best and it comes with a vengeance.
And Sha'eo Ripley you are hereby granted access to this board.
The name is simply a nickname to their specific wing within the Corsairs. They are all Corsair "descendants" or however you wish to label that with the middle-eastern names being codenames. So to repeat that, they are as much as a Corsair as are the The Brotherhood. They are not allied to the Corsairs.
They are a wing, within the Corsairs. With their own self-proclaimed leader. Whether or not it is approved or supported by the Corsairs as a whole is up to the Elders, if they wish to kick us out from their homes, it's their decision.
As many other Corsair players have suggested in the past and as the infocards suggest regarding the Corsair vs. Zoner relationship, the neutrality or the co-existing harmony between the two is based entirely upon the Zoners being a "valuable ally" in the sense that they constantly provide food to Crete and other desired items.
The wing was formed in an attempt to get the Corsairs to wage an official war against the Zoners, or at least stop recognizing them as an friend, and instead as a target of interest, another group of pilots to loot from. This is the agenda of the Anarchist-wing. If we would ever succeed, we would then continue to take rewards from the goal. After all, why would you fight for something and once it is achieved simply walk away?
Why? It is simple. The Anarachists, did recognize the potential of keeping the Zoners as a trade-partner and saw the validity in it, but their leader, Saladin, who was formerly a Corsair who went by the nickname "Saladin the Sunkiller" (http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?...c=70080&hl) (please check the date to see that this character isn't just something I made a week ago) - believed that in the end, taking over the bordering territories currently strongholded by Freeports and Zoner activities, would present tactical advantages on both the war against Outcasts (Freeport-9) and Hessians (Freeport-5) but also presenting new angles to perform piracy strikes at. The last motivation would be to gain natural resources/locations where they are presented such as taking over the control of Planet Gran Canaria or simply gathering resources from the hostile take-overs of the Freeports.
In summary: A Corsair who believes that it is more valuable to destroy, loot and take-over the Zoner's presence in the Borderworlds for their own gains, rather than keeping them neutral on the basis that they will continue us with a steady flow of trade. One which Saladin thought also that he could rely on Samura, Hogosha and other allies instead. You could say a Corsair who went back to the roots of what the Corsairs were, a fearsome pirate-group that took everything that was in their path.
This paragraph above will most likely be beaten to death with arguments. But I'm only here to present my group, I'm not going to initiate a discussion. You may perceive that attitude as you wish.
The only question that remains at this point should should be: How will the Anarachists push their agenda to make the Corsairs as a nation go against the Zoners? They will perform strikes against various Freeports scattered across the Borderworlds and present their work on open broadcasts. Continue being a present threat towards the Zoners and anger them, push them to a point where they will make a mistake, such as the mistake they did when they halted all shipments towards the Corsairs, trying to force the Anarachists out through the method of black-mailing, Saladin knew that if such an event would occur he would have to rely on the pride of the Corsairs to backfire on the Zoner's plans.
Given the current situation, Saladin did indeed predict well the outcomes.

In the Iberian Peninsula, its first known inhabitants were the Iberians and Celtiberians. There is a state or city-state known as Tartessos, in the Bay of Cadiz and the western Andalucia, of Greek origin. Come into play after Carthage, Rome, Germanic tribes, Arabs, the Reconquista (Christian), unification of the peninsular kingdoms (almost all and for a time all of them), expansion of the empire in Italy, North Africa, Netherlands, Belgium, Austrian Empire, southern France, the Americas, the Philippines, Crete, Malta and some other place that I have forgotten and, of course, its final.
Would anyone explain to me that makes Saladin ... do not answer a rhetorical question. If you want names of famous Arabs of Spain, I can give more but do not mix Crusades. You'd tell me that makes the biggest and most famous Kurdish general in this story.
You are a group of Corsairs who want a war against the Zoners and supposedly anarchists. It's like if I eat Zoner say that from now our allies are the SCRA and to all those who are enemies are our enemies (probably the Zoners that our leaders have proclaimed themselves to give me a kick and Zoners smart too). I recall that the Council of Elders works quite well and, while they say nothing, to myself you are a group of pirates with a wrong ID.

Ah!!! I almost forgot, you and anarchism, any resemblance with reality is purely coincidental.

Yep, anyone that has the slightest clue about Spain's etnogenesis, never mind immigrations etc. knows that these names make sense (also, there's many more groups in Freelancer's Hispanian world than only the Spanish as has been said already). And origin often has eff all to do with religion and I guess it's a good thing Sina and co. aren't playing the religious fanatic card.
Also, I think he has declared quite publically that he doesn't expect Corsair elders to like what he's doing. And seems like the ball's in their court. So... What's the problem?

You may disagree with me on this, but I've always seen the hispania sleeper ship containing a mixture of Mediterranean people. That includes Italian people, Spanish people, North African, Greek... A spanish speaking majority, and a varied minority of other Mediterranean people.
