I could see Gunboat missiles getting ammunition for realism, but if you look at the size of a Cruiser and Battleship, how is it realistic that they can only carry 70 missiles? The ammo limit is universal for all munitions, but there are ways around it I think if you make them cargo-based.
It's better with energy, I think. Personally I don't use missiles, my lag makes them awful weapons for me. I can't hit anyone, and everyone can hit me.
But if you ask me the missiles are to slow in discovery and CD are to fast.
But seriously ships have been given roles in combat. Like Bombers, gunboats, destroyers etc. So we don?t want multipurpose ships spamming all over and don?t care what they are up against since they don?t need any assistance. The role of ships creates a dynamic battlefield and lets keep it that way.

Most capitals ships in real life also have atleast 1 rack of small intercepting missiles (could be 1 clip with ammo)
also The skin of most missile turret are quite silly with normal gun turret skins wouyldnt it be better to use a fghter missile skin?

Great idea, but been suggested many times.
The problem with this server is that the bias is towards snubcraft, which anyone can get easily and abuse, and against capital ships. Thats why caps lack any real decent protection other than really good aim, or a bomber that gets too close.
Chainfire regular guns, fire off the odd missle (or spam missles if in a BC) at bobmers as they come in on their runs, and hope they walk into the missle, or one shot too many.
