Actually from here we find that this ship, for real isn't like to any ship line in freelancer.
We have nice amount of idea that its rheinlandish, kusarish, bhgish, libertysh etc etc etc. So, that exactly mean this ship got a usuall warship's form and can be given to anyone. That's all about texturing. Textures can made it rheinlandish, kusarish, bhgish, libertysh, sairish etc etc.

ossie is an order ship. corsairs just use it for the hell of it. he is creating a stand alone corsair battleship, which as of right now. they do not have.
the model itself looks good, but the intention about it is at least to be discussed.
those that say "osiris is order" should know ( although i take it that most already know ) that the osiris is ... in the light of discovery history MORE a corsair battleship than an order battleship. - the order stole it and used its prototype first alright, but the corsairs mass produced it, allowing the order to deploy multiple osiris class recon battleships - along with allowing themselves to deploy them. - making the ship at the very least a "shared project" and when looked into it closely - rather a corsair battleship.
other than that - the corsairs also do have their own battleship, the dreadnought ( which is nothing but a different name for a battleship in terms of shipclasses - at least in disco ) - the osiris remains as an interlink between the corsairs and the order, a reminder that those two factions share some history that is undeniably linking them as allies - at least allies of necessity in the past.
is it logical that the corsairs might modify the original osiris? - probably. - but the main idea of the osiris, its wedge-like cylinder, should remain.
now the presented model looks like something the corsairs "may" have come up with - after serious modifications. - the slim line, submarine structure etc, varies greatly from the wide and spikey design of their own dreadnought, giving the ship its own very distinct appearence. - it just "may" be an offspring of the osiris frame - but then again.... it may not be, cause it really is different.
personally - i think its a good replacement, depending on the texture job which is not done yet. - what one should be aware about is that the osiris is a vanilla ship - and cause its an "original" ship - it features some aspects that a custom ship is hard to get.
special abilities like an increased reverse speed, small and slim lines combined with superior nimbleness is something a real "custom" ship needs to fight for the hard way.
ships like the bretonian battleship, the rheinland battleship, lib-dreadnought or osiris are easily about the best battleships available. - no custom ship would gain comparable stats - so making a custom ship like that will most likely result in a slight "nerf" of the ships abilities, a nerf that puts the ship "into balance" with other custom ships.
So, this is the last condition of that concept. From here i can't do the next step without spending a big amount of time to learning how to texture ship, mesh groups, maybe little design work adding some details, smooth lines etc etc etc, and i have no that time, shame, but this is all i can do now. Well, if here is someone who, maybe like the idea and want to finish it - i'll be pleased. Here still alot of work on making the ship, now its about 5% of work completed i think )
